Can anyone give a personal review on this? Thinking of using it with the mist for outdoor gym.

Sorry haven't used the mist attachment yet but its very big.

It's very powerful and very quiet. If you need a fan that keeps you cool and is very quiet it's brilliant. But it has some failings compared to other fans on the market.

It has 5 speed settings but 7 with the remote. If you hold the fan speed down or up button on the remote you activate a high or low natural breeze type setting. I never use these because the fans with these features just ramp up and down by itself and it's a bit weird.

The detachable head is very good , but it's very large, it doesn't make much sense unless you really need that big fan head on a table or on the floor angled upwards. You can just move the whole fan without being plugged in, but it is a bit heavier. I do wish it had a hight adjustment function though. taking the head off is lighter and has a handle on top so you could move it around easier. But it would be nice if it could move up and down. Although, it does push a lot of air, so it's not too bad.

The remote and settings are very basic. Three buttons on top: power, speed, and oscillate. The remote is very tiny and could easily be lost. I know it has a place for you can magnetically attach the remote to the fan but I wouldn't be surprised if it went missing easily.

I know what you mean about the mist attachment. I really should give it a try because that's what made me I me interested in the first place. Maybe that would make it much more appealing if it worked well.

I think it's better to buy directly from Shark as you get a 5 year warranty and 7% Quidco cashback.

Just a 2 year warranty if you buy via Shark's eBay outlet, whereas you get 5 years when buying through a reputable retailer........ definitely not worth the £15 saving. I bought a Shark vacuum cleaner and it required multiple replacement parts over the course of the 5 year warranty period. Fans aren't quite as fragile but having the extra 3 years peace of mind is well worth the £15!! (edited)
