Great budget option for PS5 and PC owners.
I've been waiting forever for SP to get their 300 feedback so I can post these cheap but very reliable drives.
Fantastic value.
There are too many drives to post in one deal so I'll split them into a few.

About this item
  • To bolster its multi-tasking factor even further, the UD90 takes advantage of increased bandwidth when used in conjunction with motherboards equipped with PCIe 4.0 slots. In fact, it has nearly double the bandwidth of PCIe 3.0 for shorter download times and the ability to download more files within the same amount of time.
  • An SSD's speed is meaningless without the ability to handle that speed reliably. The UD90 achieves improved sequential read/write and random read/write performance with support for SLC Caching. At the same time, it supports low density parity check (LDPC) coding to ensure accuracy of data transmission and reliability of data access.
  • The UD90 supports RAID to protect data in the case of a drive failure. It's also equipped with built-in E2E data protection for enhanced data transfer integrity. Unexpected things can happen at any moment, but the UD90 is prepared for them with your data at its utmost priority.
  • 5-year limited warranty

    This or WD SN770?

Not much difference between them really, both Gen4 DRAM-less TLC NAND drives.
Real world performance will be pretty much the same so whichever is cheapest at the time.

The WD has slightly higher sequential speeds but you'd only notice it if you spent a lot of time transferring very large files.

Is it for PS5 or PC/laptop? (edited)

And TBF, it flew through moving games to it earlier, like a GB a second!

Fat cat would you say this is the one to go for? Was considering the adata at £100 from ebuyer but saving of £20 here seems good for the 2tb?

I'd go for the Kioxia, no need for gen4 speeds and having DRAM is useful.
Personally I've installed close to 50 Exceria's and they've been very reliable.

how do these get on without a heatsink cooler? Is it a no no without?

These do run a little on the warm side (like most gen4's when doing sequential writes) so I'd recommned a heatsink, you can pick up decent ones for £5-6 anyway so may as well.
