Thanks OP, been watching these AEG deals and this is pretty good for a fairly basic model (which is all we really need).

It's worth noting that the prices AEG charge for intallation and removal of old oven etc are very good compared to all the mainstream suppliers AND you get 20% off those too with the code.

So I'm probably going to go for it at £343.99 which includes all the services and a 2 year guarantee.

I just chuck my old appliances out for the scrap fairies, they usually collect before I get home from work, and it’s FREE

Most AEG ovens are made in Germany (and not China like most of the rubbish sold in this price bracket)! It is next to impossible to find a German made appliance in this price bracket - this deal should be heated to the temperature of the sun! (edited)

I can confirm this is made in Germany

This has a high wattage rating compared to most single ovens that just plug in or connect to a 13 amp spur. The spec says it requires a 16 amp fuse. Check your existing circuit/connection before you buy.

I had to get mine changed to 16 amp fuse on the board. AEG delivered it and were due to install but couldn’t due to fuse. I had to get an electrician to come and change fuse then fit oven separately. Pain in the arse and never got refunded install cost from AEG, they just ignore you.
The oven is good though but customer service is dire.

Good price but the so called steam oven feature in this and a lot of new boach ovens makes me laugh. It's basically a small indentation in the bottom where you put a container with some water in. You can do this with any oven. A proper steam oven injects the steam at a specific point in the baking process.

I'm yet to try it but there might be more to it - I think maybe it uses the element underneath the bottom of the oven to create the steam, which is not the same as simply putting a tin of water in.

    Quality price that

I prefer to buy from AEG, rather than Curry's or John Lewis.

Cracking deal. albeit puddle indent steam feature may offer little benefit - will try it out thou, on range of baked goods.

Thanks for posting, just ordered. Now to find an electric hob to go with it

Does anyone know how much it would cost to get this installed. Like for like replacement.
Looked online but so much conflict on price

    Thank you

Depends what you understand to be a like for like replacement really. If the single oven you intend to replace is hardwired then the chances are it will be more than 3kw and a very straightforward job for an electrician to hook up this AEG if you weren’t confident doing it yourself. If however your existing single oven is 3kw or less (which many are) it will likely have a 13amp plug at the back for use in a normal wall socket, and if so it’s a completely different situation re the installation of this AEG. I’d fully expect the installation price of £50 from AEG to be based on their assumption that the electrical supply is correct already and the charge is for simply connecting the cables. (edited)

Gas or electric? All I can decide is that it doesn't have a plug......but that could mean it's either/neither/both. (edited)

Steam is a waste of time and prevents you from getting the most important feature - pyrolytic cleaning. I have an Electrolux steam oven. They're rubbish. Get a pyrolytic oven

If you don’t have 6mm or 10mm for your oven, move house as the sparky was a complete and utter 2868! 😃

    “2868”… love it
