sorted byFor most people the endurance is fine as long as they don't use it for write intensive tasks like video editing.
If it's cheaper to manufacture than a TLC drive, it should cost less (this effectively costs more than the SP as it's a little smaller).
Still, it didn't stop this deal getting more heat in less than 1 hour than my SP deal has got in over a week, lol.

Sorry, missed that bit.
3D NAND refers to the way the cells are stacked (3D is vertically, while older 2D NAND was side by side).
TLC & QLC refers to how many bits can be stored in a cell (Triple Layer Cell, Quad Layer Cell).
The more bits that are stored in a cell the more times that cell will be written to, so the quicker it will die.
That's why TLC is better.
Back in the old days we had MLC (Multi Level Cell, but was actually 2 levels) and SLC (Single).
They cost a fortune, my first SSD was MLC and was £300 for 120GB, lol. (edited)
