This is a great tumble dryer I got this on offer from AEG last month. This cost literally 30-50p to run a three hour cycle and gives great results

We have one of these. Superb is all I can say
Obviously longer drying times but much much cheaper to run
Heat added, so to speak.

This is an excellent machine. Bought for £400 direct with a code a few weeks ago. Times adjust as sensor dry. I think it drys faster than my old condensor

Excellent and energy efficient

AEG has produced an excellent tumble dryer. It’s equally brilliant at both drying clothes and keeping energy use low. That’s why we had no hesitation in making it a Best Buy and an Eco Buy.

Anyone who has one want to comment on the single filter concept? Most heat pumps have two for a good reason, and it would be annoying to find that there is a second filter buried inside the thing that clogs up after two years and is difficult to clean. I say this as mine has a third metal mesh filter behind the second one and it's a right bastard to clean because it's not removable. And it does clog up over time and the cycles run longer and longer until I get a brush out and crouch down on the floor to clean it.

Granted, it's a Whirlpool so probably not as nice. Although it is a 9kg capacity and cost about as much as this thing does ten years ago!

It's basically two filters in one piece, you clean it like pages in a book. I think you're supposed to also clean the heat exchanger every six months or so, but that's just behind the big flap on the front.

I have an AEG 12 year old washer - dryer that I bought on eBay local pickup 4 years ago for 99p .

Brilliant machine , wash cycles a bit long but not a problem as I rarely wash above 30C and only small loads which it automatically compensates for .

Dryer function which is condensing I don't often use but is reasonable on cost .
Overall a great machine that still looks like new and works quietly and efficiently !

AEG are a premium price but in MHO worth it !
