AmazonBasics Cat-7 Gigabit Ethernet Patch Internet Cable
For Wired Home and Office NetworksCombining high-quality performance with universal compatibility, this AmazonBasics Cat-7 Gigabit Ethernet Patch Internet Cable connects computers to network components in a wired Local Area Network (LAN). Compared to a wireless network, a wired network via an Ethernet patch cable can create a safer, more secure and reliable connection – perfect for enhanced workplace productivity or at-home entertainment.

Versatile Convenience
Use the AmazonBasics Ethernet patch cable to connect anything from computers, printers, servers, routers and switch boxes to network media players, network-attached storage devices, VoIP phones and other standard office equipment.

Flat Profile, Easy to Install

The cable’s flat design allows for sleek, safer installation. Nails are included to easily secure the cable in place, whether running it along floorboards, around corners or under the rug or carpet

Clear Connections
The AmazonBasics Cat-7 cable delivers notable signal transmission stability, and it provides an impressive 600 MHz bandwidth. Even more, the cable's RJ45 connectors feature gold plating for accurate data transfer and corrosion-free connectivity.

I love that this can be squeezed into a piece of trunking a lot easier as my older round cable used to be a tight squeeze in it - there was too many cables as each time something else was put into the office space i would like to hide the wires and cables.

I'm sure it's fine but there's no way this is actually Cat7. How Amazon themselves think it's ok to do these tricks, I'm not sure...

Is definitely question this actually being cat 7 considering its a flat cable 🤷🏻‍♂️

30awg.. needs to be 23gwa to be cat7.. Amazon misleading. This is cat 5 at best.

It's neither but it'll probably work for short distances

For cables that run through walls or are fixed in place you should use solid core not this stuff.

You should also consider using halogen free cable - it's actually a legal requirement in commercial buildings due to the fumes given off when on fire...

It's a network cable, however it doesn't conform to Cat-7 spec...

I hope the nails are not embedded in the cable.

    Good Price. Thanks

Why do I suspect it would not perform at cat 7 if those nails were used...
    turbocat's avatar
Would the nails cause a degradation in performance?

It's really good stuff. I have an office upstairs and the router is in the hallway downstairs. I ran this up the stairs under the carpet and the wiring fitted between the cracks in the floorboards on the landing to the office. I'm only on 200mb fibre but it runs at that no problem can't comment on it's max speeds
