Fantastic price in Tesco today for these hard shell American Tourister 79CM large cases. The link on the American Tourister site says there’s a 2 year global warranty , 4 spinner wheels , 79x55x33 dimensions & 4kg in weight, it even has a built in lock on the zips.

** if you use a Tesco staff Clubcard this weekend up until Tuesday there’s a further 15% off at the till making these £42.50 each (so I got two)

Why are large suitcases nowhere near the check-in size of most airlines? Trying to replace an old Tripp one that is a few cm too tall and can't find anything near it.

Large suitcases are checked in bags, I have never had a problem with a similar sized bag at BA/Qatar/Easyjet/Emirates/Iberia/Lufthansa for checked in luggage. Generally they dont measure the bags and its more to stop oversized baggage being checked in.

Yep but its a big old beast and sure you have 20kg on a 24kg allowance but ample space. Its a balance between a smaller one which less space or a big one with more space but a little more weight.

Some stock at the Clay Cross, Derbyshire. They had quite a few cabin bags left but only 1 hold case left. They are marked up wrong, they scanned at £37.50 for the small and £50 for the large. But marked up at £45 and £60.

Just drove around 3 stores and managed to find the last one in the third store
Want a second matching case though so off to a few more tomorrow, thanks for posting.
They also have ITluggage large cases on sale for 52 which are slightly bigger and have a 10 year warranty, i wonder if they're as good as these ? (edited)
