    Is this a good printer? The choice is bewildering in this range price range.

    This one only demands its £400 price tag owing to its enormous size and 500mm/s print speed which isn't exceptional these days and can be achieved with many printers if you're comfortable toying with Klipper and a Raspberry Pi. Everything else about this is really just bang average and I wouldn't spend £400 on something like this unless I was printing huge things regularly.

    The other deal for an Ender 3 V3 SE (a very decent 3D printer compared to its other Ender 3 ancestors) at £150 is smoking hot if you are happy with its average print size of 220x220x250mm.

    Not sure of which model  was used, but the real CSI on BBC2 featured a highly illegal use for a 3D printer last night. I had only assumed previously that such uses were used in crime fiction.

    I'm sure there's plenty of illegal uses. There's plenty of illegal uses for a regular printer. Or a crowbar. Or a kitchen knife. All completely irrelevant to regular users, and bargain deals, though.
