So would they provide printout from a machine after service or is it just - trust me "it's done"?

I did this 2y ago. They provided a printout with pressure readings. I find ATS much better than its reputation. Maybe it's branch dependent. I go there regularly.

Protyre also have this for the same price using a code. I used them last year and they also included a tyres, brakes, exhaust and battery advice/inspection report.

Sadly its a waste of time and money charg up ones aircon. Aircon's should not lose gas unless there us a leak or faulty seal. The garages just pump out some sir and put the gas in , but they should actually check for leak and fix it which takes time to find before refill the air-conditioning.

If you read the info they do check for leaks before attempting to re-gass

They should be charging per 100g, fixed price not fair

Your paying for the service not just the quantity of refrigerant.

Thanks for posting. I've been waiting for this.

ATS recharged my car in 2021 and it needs redoing as the cooling is weak again.

Ats checking for leaks? Lol. They dont even check for leaks on tyres just fit a new one!

Does air con get weaker over time, so should you do it every few years??

We did this and they didn't check for leaks. The system was empty within a week

Considering the machine is automated and checks for leaks through a vacuum test then this is unlikely.

I was told that the refrigerant should be replaced every 2 yrs. Have also read when was the last time your fridge or freezer needed servicing 😵‍💫

    That's nonsense

Great deal used this a few times myself over the years as "had" a very slow leak which was fixed with AC superseal leak sealer from halfords.

There is the MrClutch 50% off code at the moment for old/new regs too (can't seem to link the deal, but search for 'aircon50', should come up, exp end May)

I had this done on a 2016 Renault Clio and a 2012 Peugeot 308 last year, supposedly they check for leaks before carrying out the recharge, they carried out the service on both and it leaked on both cars, the Clio's air con was cold for 3 days, the Peugeot only lasted 1 day. I asked for a refund from Groupon but was refused, I then made a claim with Paypal and got my money back through them.
