I have the outdoor cameras and doorbell.
You'd get 2 years out of them (lithium batteries) if they don't trigger much, I've also noticed using the 'live view' function a lot reduces battery life quite considerably.
You can turn motion detection off or 'disarm' the system very easily if you're going to be constantly passing the area for a while to stop them triggering.
Also worth noting you can power these with USB cables if you have the option depending where you mount them. The cameras will need to be within range of the module and your WiFi network.
I got the 3 cameras (+ sync module) for £99 in March 2023 so not sure how good of a deal this is with the Echo Show... It's a 'cheap and cheerful' setup with the option of free local storage (fairly slow when loading clips compared to their cloud storage option), but for my purposes they have been just fine. (edited)
