Brass: Lancashire — first published as Brass — is an economic strategy game that tells the story of competing cotton entrepreneurs in Lancashire during the industrial revolution. You must develop, build, and establish your industries and network so that you can capitalize demand for iron, coal and cotton. The game is played over two halves: the canal phase and the rail phase.

I've only recently acquired Birmingham (deluxe) and I loved it so much I was on the prowl for this (not least because it was a few local towns on the map!), it was £51 when I ordered and due for delivery today - but, to their credit Kienda have refunded the difference in store credit for me.

Get Birmingham out on the table, it's a lovely game :-)

    Excellent price.

The next iteration, Brass Birmingham, is the best board game I've ever played. I understand Lancashire is a little less forgiving than Birmingham; make a mistake and your opponents can obliterate you. Additionally Birmingham introduces an additional resource, beer, adding an additional consideration in your planning.

Either way if it's half as good as Birmingham you're going to be getting yourself one hell of a game. (edited)
