We have this machine - great machine but the buttons are a nightmare - not very responsive and over time become even more difficult to use, otherwise the rotisserie is a hit on the weekends!

These are a great design, far better than the pull out tray. You can organise food on shelfs, rottesserie and see how they are cooking. Also capacity far bigger.

These oven-style air fryers(aka fancy toaster ovens) are a hundred times more difficult to keep clean, though. And you absolutely have to keep these things clean or else they'll start smelling and/or smoking, not to mention just being dirty to cook in for your food.

This is a complete deal breaker for me cuz air fryers are supposed to be convenient, not something you groan at the thought of using cuz of cleanup afterwards.

They also simply dont cook as evenly or as fast/efficiently as a more 'proper' air fryer(aka basket compartment devices).

There is no 'better' when it comes to air fryer design(in a general sense), really. They all have compromises, and choosing which one is right for you is dependent entirely on your needs/wants, budget, room, and the compromises you're able to live with. (edited)

Makes the best chips I’ve had.

Looks like it comes with lots of trays and baskets and stuff for use depending on what cooking... so needs additional storage space for all the bits?

We just store ours on top or inside if we have guests over - the basket is the only clunky bit that hides on top of the fridge :')

I've got this, as said above, buttons can be awkward, but not so bad it'd put me off buying it again,
Not used rotisserie feature yet, really need to try that!
