    Only free on Sky because it’s free on channel 4. Boycott Sky and all the sport will be back on terrestrial tv then I might buy a licence.

    I’ve boycotted Sky and and Sky broadband, Sky are crooks, should be illegal to buy the rights to F1 and any other sport and then charge what they like, there should be competition and not just one supplier with the monopoly, also can anyone remind me why I pay a fee for a tv licence, all F1 races used to be shown on terrestrial television for FREE, what do we get for our money now,a load of crap and repeats, or is it to fund illegal photos

    Erm, the F1 is also on Channel 4. So it not just on one supplier. 

    You pay a TV licence to fund the BBC. Nothing to do with sky. 

    Maybe take more water with it next time.

    Channel 4's coverage is better anyway. Even though it means only getting highlights hours after the race (other than Silverstone), I'll take Channel 4 over Sky's coverage any race weekend.

    Not sure why Sky bothered. Its free on Channel 4 anyway. I'm actually quite fond of C4's presenting team (Coulthard and Steve Jones do a good job)

    Sky could have upped the ante and put it in 4K. Which it is on their paid for sports channel.
    I would have tuned in to Sky. watched their adverts and maybe got used to their pundits.

    My husband loves his football so we pay for sky, bt sport etc. I'm quite fond of Martin Brundle doing his grid walk before the race.

    The difference between the free BBC days and Sky's coverage is huge. Every practice session, qualy and of course the race is on Sky. It's not perfect, I would much rather they showed the TP's press conference too, not sure why they cut it. It also has junior formulas too. There is too much rubbish in the week though which I wish had better content.
    As with football, they have great coverage and if you're a fan you don't mind paying for it but it's not cheap
