Terrible drivetrain and forks, much better bike deals available right now like this Vitus: wiggle.com/p/v…ike

The vitus has suntour forks too....

it's ok but the forks are the weak point, you quickly realise that suntours are very cheap, I need to upgrade to something like a rockshok to get a lockout and just some resistance for gravel bike paths, you fell over uneven surfaces that they are just not good enough. The rest of the bike is fine but it is heavy. If you want light then it's more of a gravel bike you neeed.

Yeah the forks are only Suntour XCT and no further spec than that so could be very simple XCT forks. There are many current mountain bikes on hotukdeals that are cheaper with XCM forks and hydraulic lockout with thicker stanchions. Yes I realise not a huge upgrade but still an upgrade and you are paying less.

I’m after a XL hard tail but want it to be lightweight … not sure if this bike is considered light or not tbh

It won't be light. You have to spend at least 1k to get below 13kg.
