Just found this deal online. An extra 25% off this model for Blue Light Card Holders taking the price down to £293.62. Included in that price is delivery to the store and a store build.

At time of posting they have all sizes from S through to XL.

There are a few more Carerra bikes on there with a 25% discount (see pic in description)

Seems a decent deal for a budget hard tail MTB. Just got one for my son for Christmas.

Got a 4.4 / 5 on reviews.

Anyone have any advice on which is better this or the Carrera hellcat?

    - Brief explanation / comparison on every Carrera bike, MTBs lower down bikeradar.com/adv…kes
    - The Hellcat has 29" wheels vs 27.5" on these, so might come down to personal choice, comfort, your height/inseam, usage, etc. The Hellcat is slightly heavier with slightly wider tyres.
    - Article to read before deciding on wheel size... bikinguniverse.com/sho…ike
    - Setting your seat height also really important for various reasons...

Not too bad. Had vulcan for a short time and you can feel its budget bike.

If you can stretch budget to 400 quid I'd go with vitus nucleus (praised here ) or buy second hand more premium bike... Giant talon 2 (managed to buy one in perfect condition for 250) tor example

    Voted hot of course (edited)

I have this bike (bought 3 years ago) and it’s been great value & still use it most weeks more so a winter bike but what it’s been so good is very robust & I have put it threw some tough bumpy rides and it has been just fine. Never gone wrong so only needed to pay for service , in other words my road bike far more brittle & fragile and spent a lot on keeping it going , so for trouble free riding yes buy this vulcan not that fast but more comfortable & more fun going where you want without worrying about punctures etc , hell I even got a few KOM’s on Strava with it !

Good deal for this bike, step up for most people who use bikes for ordinary stuff!
Hydraulic disk brakes, reasonable gear set. But rubbish seat! (edited)

    - One can also preload a gift card & get another 5% off halfords.com/hel…htm - e.g. pay £285 for a £300 pre-load with the code SAVE5.
    - Another £5 off with free membership level of their motoring club halfords.com/mot…tml - need to be logged in to apply it at checkout.
    - Plus a few more tips here for added savings, but may not stack with BLC hotukdeals.com/com…846

Absolutely terrible fork, for 300 you'd get something much better second hand.
