Google are launching the Find My Network that utilises android phones to pinpoint lost items. Arguably even more powerful than apple given the vast network of android phones.

    I believe the Chipolo ones have a replaceable CR2032 battery that lasts 2 years.

    The trade-off bring a rechargeable one needs charging yearly I think, but will degrade after 5 years. In theory replacing a battery will keep this running a lot longer.

    I think I'll probably get both, as more players come the prices will come down, so you can mix and match based on who's cutting prices.

    It already launched in US and Canada. Global roll out expected sometime this year, it will likely be summer (ahead of holiday season) or Christmas imo.
