It's shows up the quality of movies today when old movies, you've seen many times, is more exciting than the latest blockbusters.

Maybe you just hate movies. Past two years at the cinema have been phenomenonal

what a sad state of affairs when cinemas have to go back over 30 years to find decent movies to show when so many today are just awful with the odd gem here and there

Marvel and Disney movies have been utterly ruined and the box office shows it..........they have all lost hundreds of millions

We had a writers and actor strike lasting MONTHS last year, so between the loss of revenue through COVID closures and the lack of new releases to fill schedule, they are having to try and make up some of that revenue with things like this. (edited)

Booked. 2 tickets for £6.90 using meerkat movies code.
Now I need to find someone to drag along to watch it with me!
    Thanks, OP.

How did you manage to use the code this far in advance?

The YouTube channels that critique modern Hollywood are more entertaining than the movies coming out these days. Critical Drinker is the pick of the bunch IMO.

Critical Drinker is a hatebait type; the sort of dog-whistling loon who gets a boatload of followers because he harps on about "the message" and "gender politics" and plays up to the "Everything I hate is 'woke'" brigade. Just relentlessly negative much of the time - it works for him, I guess, but very much not for me at all, and to each their own if people genuinely enjoy him.

For me, Filmjoy (aka Movies with Mikey) is nice, with some genuine positivity to it, and I quite enjoy Thomas Flight's stuff as well as he deep-delves into stuff like sound design and cinematography and that can be really interesting.

Mr Sunday Movies is my favourite though. Two daft Aussies shooting the shiz about films. They're quite fun.

Good price but I do wish they would run a number of these movies on the same day. If I’m going to spend the time and money to travel to London’s West End, I’d sooner watch three or four movies on the same day rather than just one single movie to make the journey worthwhile. (edited)

Can't see the west end one listed on there :/

Edit: if you go to the Leicester square viewings page you can find it but it's £7.50+booking fees (edited)

I think they’re regretting their woke agenda for the last several years.

I'll probably lose internet points for this but... these are all entertaining movies and of their time but please stop stop stop suggesting they are better than movies of today and blaming the media made 'woke' agenda for that, Most of these films probably stand up today in comparison to the action movies of today in female representation for example

Had hoped for Aliens but Predator will do! Cheers for putting this on my radar.

Commando is one of my favourite films but the greatest movie mistake scene after Arnie flips the Damaged Car

If VUE did this, they'd all be screened at 8-10pm at night

Demolition Man?! I've never actually seen it at a cinema. The explosions are going to be glorious!

Ah... brings back fond memoried of the rear fire doors being left open (possibly by a mate) so you could sneak in underage.

I remember watching Mad Max Fury Road in 3D was the best action movie I'd ever seen, I'm looking forward to the follow up Furiosa !

A Mad Max movie… without Mad Mad, excellent Hollywood idea right there!
