I got one when they were £10, however, I wouldn't recommend it for the following reasons:
    Difficult to drink from.
You can burn your lips because you don't get time to feel any heat from the liquid before it comes out.
You can end up covering yourself with the contents if tipped slightly too far.
    Difficult to keep clean.
You have to be careful screwing the top on, as a few times I thought it was secure but the thread was twisted so coffee leaked out all over me, when I tried to have a drink.
The plastic lid gets hot and lets the heat escape.

They all seem like user errors. I love these cups.

Knocked mine off a bench at a bus stop on holiday and it exploded, the content (ice cold beer) went everywhere.
I don't think the screw thread on the lid is very secure.

Beer is heavily carbonated. Knocking it off will have massively increased the internal pressure. Wouldn’t expect many similar flasks to withstand that tbh

The contigo west loop autoseal model is the greatest coffee cup IMO, this Byron model is comparatively rubbish. (Though also half the price on this deal). Don’t get them confused…

Does this model you mention suffer from the O-Ring problem where it can pop out over time with hot/cold causing it to expand and contract?. I have had 5x Byrons and 3-4 of them suffered from the O-Ring issue eventually.

Ignore the negative comments, these are definitely the best out there, been using travel mugs for 25yrs , now and again I see a different make and try it out but always go back to Contigo, you can’t get any better trust me

Contigo is far better then then Thermos equivalent its rubbish and costs a lot more and from a bigger brand.

Don't understand the hate here, I have one and think it's great

I got one cheaper from TKMax. It’s not very good honestly. Gets a bit weird to drink from and the opening/closing mechanism is not very easy.

I've never had an issue with the mechanism on mine, I can open and close it with one hand.

It is very weird thermos. You need to open lid before drinking, otherwise you might burn yourself. Plus, it is not hygienic. I wish it could have extra tap or cover. However, it keeps anything hot and cold.

You don't need to unscrew the lid to drink, you just tilt the Snapseal lever to open the hole so you sip and snap closed again. (edited)

I’ve just got the yeti travel mug the best of the best

Never buy the 'Thermos' branded competitor to this mug, the one with the rotate a dial to 'open' or 'close' symbol to release the liquid. It costs a lot more money, performs worse, has lots of moving parts so requires intense cleaning after every single use.

In comparison the Contigo is cheaper, less moving parts, easier to clean and use ... its only fault is the O-rings have a tendancy to often pop out due to heat expansion over time and are a pig to refit.

Had one of these, they are not hard wearing at all. I dropped mine about a metre and the lid snapped in half. Very good otherwise.

Got one. Not a massive fan. Difficult odd shaped hole to drink out of, end up burning my lips

    Mine rusted.

keep it inside overnight and wash it ocasionally

Got this. Keeps super hot for ages. Have to make half/half with cold water otherwise it’s too hot for my 2 hour train journey. Great insulation. Secure lid and opening.

They are £12.50 always at Asda, I got one on offer from Asda at £10 and they are great, I also have a Yeti with Magslide but that's not spill proof

Currently £10 in Morrisons. Can generally be had from others such as Asda and Tesco at this price when on offer too.
