Standard price for a 1TB QLC NAND SSD, nothing to see here (in fact the gen4 Kingston NV2 is the same price).
Better off spending a couple of £ more and getting this Kioxia, TLC NAND and has DRAM cache so is a better performer -

The 2TB is overpriced, you can get TLC NAND drives for less.
Kingstons 2TB gen4 QLC drive is £4 less and even that is overpriced.
If you really want to spend £80 on a QLC NAND drive, the Intel 670P is much better at the same price (especially as a Windows boot drive) -

2TB TLC NAND SSD for under £70 -
    amazon.co.uk/fan…-10

Or £75 if you want a more known brand -
    amazon.co.uk/Lex…-14

The fact this deal got 500 degrees in 10 hours is hilarious! (edited)

Does the kioxia have dram cache? The advert appears to say otherwise?

Will this work on a ps5?

Wasn't going to put an nvme in the steam deck dock I got but at this price would be rude not to

Wrong size I’m afraid.  Needs to be a 2230 rather than a 2280 (like this is).

    Is this better then the WD_BLUE SN570 1TB ?
    ceph042_'s avatar
No, the SN570 uses TLC NAND which is more reliable.

Does this fit in a Thinkpad X280? I think it needs to be "one-sided" to fit because of available space...
    Jon_mole's avatar
I can't guarantee it would fit (I've never tried). Looking at pictures of the SSD and the X280 I'm sure it will fit, most m.2 (2280) will fit if it doesn't have a heat sink (this doesn't)

I feel like I bought an ssd at exactly the wrong time lol

I got the 2TB at £86. I know it's cheaper now, but I'm not going to argue for the sake of £6.

Have a spare NVMe slot on my mobo but can't be bothered to remove my GPU - Talk about first world problems :/

Lmao snap, tempted to put a ssd in and call it a day

    Nice one, ordered a 1TB!

Edit just cancelled based on the info below.

I must try and get my head round all the NAND types. (edited)

TLC > QLC because it will last longer

Nv2 is the same money too.

Will this be good for os running purposes??? thinking of upgrading the ssd sata drive...
    The.Fat.Cat's avatar
Better off getting a drive with DRAM cache for OS.
Were you looking at 1TB or 2TB? The 1TB Kioxia Exceria is usually under £40.
