    I picked one of these off eBay for £11 2-3 years ago. I was lucky, a guy that lives nearby was having a clearout/upgrade of his home lab, and he just wanted to get rid of the old kit.

    Having had it for a few years, I would pay £38 for it. It's silent, reliable, and doesn't use much power. Gigabit is a bit dated now, but that's what most devices support. (edited)

    If your putting in a new network your going to use cat 6e, this box is the chokepoint in the network at gigabit.
