I plan to use smart plugs to automate the on/off timer. Does anyone know if you power it off from mains and power back on, does it reset to timer position or turn on heating.

Unfortunately if from the mains you turn it off then back on using a smart plug, the radiator goes into standby mode. Meaning you have to physically press the button to turn it on again.

Does anyone know the running costs?

You can find more details on DeLonghi website: delonghi.com/en-…25E

In terms of running cost it really depends on what setting you have it set to. I let mine fluctuate between low and medium which are 1100W and 1400W respectively. It also depends on your tariff but my smart plug estimated mine cost me £12 to run for the month of February. The month of January cost £32, but I was using it excessively (several hours a day).

This is for the used version. Costco deal is better, if you are a member.

Do you feel the oil smell? As per a friend, you can smell the oil from these

You can’t smell anything from this model. I’m aware cheaper brands do have a strange smell initially but it tends to clear after a few uses.
