Great, rare deal from the airport of Norwich!

    There’s no airport in Valletta.

Indeed, there’s just one airport in Malta (Malta International Airport). There is the X4 bus from there airport that takes about 35 minutes to get to Valetta and costs €2.50. But I’m really not sure why this deal is listed as being for Valetta.

Norwich airport also charge a passenger tax. it’s £10 pp. you have to pay if you want to board a flight.
Also the passenger drop off is £8!!!
You have no option but to go through this. If going get dropped off at the roundabout. It’s a maybe 5/6 minute walk but avoids the £8. Once over the roundabout they’ve got you as you can’t turn back. (edited)

Genuinely did not know Norwich had an airport!

I only did for one reason. Because Norwich is hard to access by road, especially from the south, football teams would fly there, often on flights of less than 20 mins, to play Norwich CIty FC. The fear always was that the team coach would get stuck in traffic and then get mobbed by fans. Because of the outrage, some teams, like Arsenal, would take the train instead. They were often the worst offenders, flying out of Luton to Norwich!

Had a great time in Malta in Jan. We stayed in Sliema, where there is plenty of accomadation. Valetta is only a 10 min boat ride for a few euros. Car hire is ok and we drove around the island and went to Gozo.
