Zadar, a coastal city in Croatia, offers a blend of historical charm and modern attractions. Visitors can wander through the ancient streets of the Old Town, adorned with Roman ruins and medieval churches. Don't miss the Sea Organ, an innovative art installation that produces haunting melodies with the movement of the waves. The nearby Sun Salutation, a large solar-powered installation, creates a mesmerizing light show at sunset. Zadar also boasts beautiful beaches like Kolovare Beach, perfect for relaxing and swimming. Overall, Zadar provides a mix of cultural exploration and seaside relaxation for tourists.

Zadar is a lovely lovely place. We had 2 weeks holiday there few years ago, had really good time. I would love to go there again. The biggest issue there is, not enough taxis, you simply can't find one. We had to walk long distances. Uber wasn't working. Not sure if it changed. (edited)

Perhaps then it might be worth renting a car, especially if you want to go exploring.

A very good one too, straight from security into the terminal within a couple of minutes.

There are some cracking summer festivals on, just down the road in Tisno. Bargain flights.

I knew the shape of the peninsula in the photo looked familiar.
It's not dissimilar to Sandbanks peninsula in size and shape
(although the Croatian version looks stunning and cohesive and possibly slightly more affordable property prices )

You've just shown a picture where you can't even walk the coast as the property juts out into the coast/sea are - so not great at all. Croatia has loads of beautiful 'accessible' coast though.

Split and Plitvice are a little distance away and Split is a city. But Trogir, Sibenik as well as Split are good UNESCO sites. There are lots of nice places in Croatia - just pick a location that suits you.
