I'd recommend to buy a mini 3 over this air 2. Similar price and capability quality wise. Much smaller package, Lower weight (less restricted where you can fly), longer flight times, more recent so longer software support can be expected.
Note: doesn't do 4k60 but does have the newer sensor. Better light sensitivity and Noise reduction tech. Not an issues if you want to do photography more than video.
Found on CVP (photography site) uk for £543
    cvp.com/product/dji-cp.ma.00000610-mini-3-fly-more-combo

Or even, stretch for a mini 3 pro, has active track, does 4k60
Comes in at about 700 but would be worth it imo.

Another idea would be to get a good deal on a mint condition Used air 2s, which has more sensors and flexibility in video/AI modes. Look for notes on good battery care, not too old.

Context: I have an Air 2s and a mini 2, both have their uses and limits

(mini 3 must be registered but you don't have to have a flyer Id, less fuss)

For general updates about flying drones in the UK. Some great info on this channel

Forgive me for asking if it's a stupid question, what's the pros and cons of not registering a mini pro 3?

Better looking for an Air 2S. It has a bigger sensor, so better image quality etc. Hopefully some good deals on the Air 2S soon.

Should be able to get one 2nd hand for a steal of a price, lots upgrading old air 2s to dji 3 versions.
Worth nothing though, you cannot get DJI crash and replace insurance if it is not new new. Can be a good reassurance for a new pilot.

Air 2s is defi early worth it for the image quality and 1 inch sensor. Flymore com o was on a deal for £780 and it's definitely worth the extra. 2s is also superior toair3 which is about to release due to 1/1.3 sensor they decided to use.

I started with the spark and thought im making a upgrade going to the mini 2 however it just felt so light and cheap and didnt feel it would withstand a small accident and has no sensors either so i got the mavic 2 , id definitely say the mavic 2 or mini 3 pro if you want a small drone (edited)
