It's all gone!! I went to get some more and they have been cleared out!!!
i dont want to rememberthem though
Which one is this? Link? Is it this one?
Thanks OP ordered through quidco!
Thanks for heads up on quidco. Just ordered.
I'm too exhausted for an extra marital affair, when I have finished taking care of this 30 stoner, but thanks for the offer.x
If you are Quidoc or can join for free use this link to go to Dreams website click here you will save an extra 5-7% depending what you purchase out of the list given or go straight to Dreams website 50% sale
I was thinking the same thing if it's Stop Snoring week they are supposed to help the snorer to stop snoring not help the partner to stop hearing his/hers grunts... well if that's what dreams are made or did I just have a nightmare....
so who are you extra marital affair comes to mind....
Terrible service at Dreams though.
If you are spending this amount of money on a mattress, also take a look at John Ryan beds, artisan naturals. Have one myself, and friends have bought another 4 between them. Sublimely comfortable. L
I'll second that. The 27 is another level.
Pay the money and get yourself a Tempur Cloud Platinum 27 - trust me, you wont be disappointed
If you are spending this kind of money on a mattress (and nothing wrong with that!) then there is miles better available. If you want to look away from the high street try searching for "John Ryan mattresses".
Not working for me either
works for me (just select Kingsize)
Link not working.
When have dreams not Got a half price sale on
I think you mean slats not slates
"Over 650 individual pocket springs" Decent Pocket sprung mattresses have 1000 or 2000 springs.
Thanks for the info :D
I have just made a purchase of the Messina bedstead deal, but my previous bed was also from Dreams, it was a metal frame, really sturdy and the mattress was so comfortable! The service was really good too, the delivery was really quick.
Dreams the company were brilliant for me last weekend at their Leeds branch. We bought one of their priciest bedsteads (Tain Superking) and mattresses (Octaspring Mistral). We had to drive down to Leeds (from Newcastle) to deal with them in person as we were getting a pricematch for the mattress and wanted to try out the mattress, saving £300. The 3 people we dealt with at the branch were very friendly and gave a few further discounts (free delivery (which is free for online orders, but not in branch) and a few free pillows). Now I don't think they'll bend over backwards for a £199 spend, but I found them great to deal with. Just seen our bed has dropped £50, debating whether to ring and ask for the difference seeing as everything is just on order and we've got a 6 week wait for delivery (the bed is made to order), although the further discounts we got kind of wipe out the price drop. The 40 night comfort guarantee was a huge plus for us too.
Seems like a good deal if bed us sturdy and the mattress is decent. Any one have any experience with this company and even better this particular model. ?
You get what you pay for when it comes to a mattress...go for a sealy mattress and y can't go wrong.
I had 2 of their bed for 18months. ....mine was really uncpmfy, to the point id wake up with back ache everyday, and my sons was worse. You can feel the springs poking through a week after purchase.
overpriced and poor quality. avoid them.
Thank you, will try and pop down, see if a mattress that I seen earlier is on offer.
What Dreams have got a sale on!
Great price, just ordered for my sons bed. Si
This should be smoking!!!! Just bought one thanks to your good self :)
just brought one thanks for adding it :) x
Not a lot of springs. I imagine a good bed for a spare room.
Seems good quality. Any reason for cold votes?
Better cheap bed deals than this at www.cheapbeds4u.com Check out their bed sale imo.
Received the bed today. Simple to put together. Bought it for my daughter and it's a dream to sleep on compared to her last bed. Im jealous I want one for myself lol. You could use it without the feet although the bed is quite low anyway.
Brilliant thankyou for your help ;)
Fantastic deal, ordered the Messina thank you. eb74, the Messina would probably suit you, I checked it out in store, it's quite low. The mattress is available separately on the website at £289.99, so, if that's to be believed, then yes, it's a fantastic deal!
Guys, Is any one received this bed yet? How is Mattress like? Please let me know. thanks in advance.
Hi eb74, They have a few others here too if that helps you out with what you are looking for, for your son.. https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/double-beds-mattresses-199-99-delivered-5-quidco-dreams-co-uk-ends-sunday-1812152
Anybody ordered this and tried it out? How is it? I'm a bit hesitant to buy a bed online, this is a good price, though.
Loving this deal. Not sure how long Dreams will post it for - a quality bed, mattress AND free delivery all for under £200 - that's superb. Just bought mine
Awesome! Just bought one in dark brown - best of all free delivery too!
*Heat added* Quidco offering exclusive 7% cashback too and free delivery. Nicely done!
This bed was £299 in the autumn, then at one point £279, then went up to just under £1000 a few weeks before xmas so they could make the price drop claim, then went to £339 for the boxing day sale, £60 more than it was last year !! though it is very solidly made most of the ones online look very flimsy,
sorry if I had implied that I was referring to the original RRP, however 2 mins on google and found this solid oak bed solid oak bed for 267.77. anyway good luck everyone
You implied you could get solid oak for £299 Not £90 more
oaklandfurniture have solid oak for £389 which is half the RRP as I stated above
I agree with Dundee48...No change in prices.
Quite right, dreams are cowboys....... When it comes to customer service anyhow. I've had countless issues with their Customer service team, I just won't give them any more money.
£100.00 premium for a divan base with two draws! Who buys from this cowboy outfit?
Cold.I have been checking Dreams regularly for weeks and their prices are exactly the same as they have been.
I love my tempur mattress too. Cost me £900 but I've never regretted it.
Delbhoy. You seem bitter! I get the point about price establishment all retailers do it - that's how sales work. I am sure most fellow hotukdealers get that. The question is are the beds good value??? That decision can only be made by judging each individual offer on its merits. Your point about customer service is way off the mark. I had great service from Dreams recently. So does "my stone blunt your scissors"!! The point is two sample sales dont prove a company is good or bad - before I bought from Dreams I looked at Trust pilot.... there are a mixture of reviews for Dreams, but clearly you can see they do have a customer service team, who do care, and do respond. It bugs me when posters get the facts wrong.
Where to begin? 60% off? Don't make me laugh. In the retail industry, particularly furniture retail, there is a practice known as price establishment. The way this works for Dreams and DFS etc is to have two near as dammit identical specification products with slightly, VERY slightly, different looks, and a different name, and sell one at say a £1000 for a month or two, whilst selling the near identical model for say £400, hence 60% off. Occasional the prices swap over, Dreams call this practice 8 to rotate. Only the mattresses change, the bases for the beds are the same, also there were far more than 8 models involved usually. If you ask in a Dreams store the salesperson will know what you are talking about! Don't ask them if the £400 bed was really a £1000, tell them you think you saw the £1000 one for £400 a few weeks ago but it was near the front of the store. The answer "When they're gone, they're gone, so you better order now before this one goes up to £1000...." I will also point out that increasingly Dreams are producing their own products, and these are vastly inferior to brands such as Sleepeezzee who used to be one of their main stockists. Also that since their administration at the start of this year, many of the major manufacturers are hesitant to deal with the company, so lead times are not to be trusted. Anyway, the real cost of the product really IS £400, although you can probably find a similar spec product cheaper from an independent retailer anyways. Price establishment in larger stores such as Dreams and DFS are why the 'sale' never ends.... As for the customer services department for Dreams, I am told there is no longer one, and that the store manager has responsibility for ordering replacements and spares etc. Next time, put your foot down and demand action and refuse to leave the store until the issue is resolved. Best time to do this is usually when the store is likely to be busiest, so anytime in January (because, believe it or not, some people still think January sales exist) or on a Saturday, early afternoon. Don't waste your breath complaining to anyone over the phone, ever, go into the store and speak directly to the manager, if he is not there speak to the assistant manager same applies.
The way you have to be with some off these instore staff at most places is you have be beyond curtious and sympathetic to there miserable job they are forced to work. The staff in most shops these days are miserable gits who seem to think they are right. Just look at all the sad faces in Tesco. Puts me right off sometimes.
I have dealt with companies that have excellent customer service- I'm aware that everyone's experiences are different. Maybe I was unlucky when I rang and tried to deal with someone who didn't't care, and when I went into the store and tried to get a replacement from the man who sold it to me to be told no they wouldn't't help me, they refused to phone or email customer services as it is against company policy and then rang them on behalf of another customer in front of me, then I personally would rather go elsewhere next time. Just trying to warn others, but hey, good luck to anyone who buys from them.
No company has 100% Customer Service and everyone has been on the end of bad service, I try not to let that dictate my life though.
matressman is a good site. Always had a good service from them.
Any advice where to look at as I'm after a decent mattress at the moment?
Already over priced tosh. Far cheaper elsewhere
Thank you all for your feedback. Very helpful.
I was going to buy a bed from Dreams a year ago but got put off by the reviews I read so I avoided them. Below are some peoples personal experiences. Hope it helps you with your decision making. Personally, I avoid them, http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.php?t=693087&page=2 http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews161742.html
In my experience places like Dreams and Bensons are insanely expensive. Search on here for historical deals and you will see that, if you are willing to wait, there are often very cheap deals from Sainsburys, Amazon and Argos to name just three. For quality beds by the way, not rubbish. Hope this helps.
how much should it have been?
You should put some specifications ( density of foam, depth size etc...) Yeah, very cold
£349 for a piece of foam...LOL
You're right. It's the comfiest thing ever. Part of me feels like I've been swindled now!
Didnt say they weren't quality!, you wouldn't have purchased if you didnt like the mattress, and the memory/spring makes for a great combo!
That's a shame. I bought one of these last week.
Thanks op. Some bargains to be had. Not much in store but plenty of linens if your bed is super king size.
Our local store isn't closing. I can confirm we had a successful delivery of a recent order.
Looks like they've moved all their good stock to the other stores and are selling ex display and damaged stock
Says 80% off at closing stores on the website
dont think they had anything to begin with just over priced beds i bought a king size dive bed with a 1000 sprung matress with memory foam on the top layer of the matress and dreams want 1500.00and i got it in delta direct on sale for 549.00 so tells you the smaller shops are better value than the big ones
Is the 2 Norwich stores..Long water and Sprowston stores shutting down. I live Norwich NR8 area an these are the only accessible stores for me..I am after an Electric remote Bed.Regards an Thank you for any replys.
monday at eltham pocked up the kingsize Amelia Ottoman Bedstead in shops £649 was reduced to £130 and then knocked them down to £75 was there last bed lucky was looking for a Ottoman, bedside chest of drawers £7 down from 75 and mattress protector £5 down from £49.99, only a few bits and bobs till in store now if still open
Went in last week on the off chance, bought a £400 double Venice bedstead black/white faux leather for £100 and this was brand new (still in box) also bought a luxury memory foam mattress for £64... The guy gave me 2 free £60 latex pillows, a £90 duck feather and down duvet and a £40 mattress topper to go with it which I took away that day. Arranged delivery for the bed and mattress with a 'white van man' for £40 was told it would be delivered on Sunday. Waited in all day and heard nothing, store was ringing out each time i tried to call so had a suspicion it might not come at all (thankfully paid on credit card). Monday morning I called and spoke to the salesman who then looked into my order and said he would call me back with an update. About 2 hours later I received a call from him and he confirmed my order would be delivered within the hour. Exactly 1 hour later my door goes with my new bed and mattress only the mattress wasn't a vacuum packed on like I had paid for. Turns out they gave me a beast of a mattress selling at £639 on the website... Well chuffed!! All in I paid £204 for around £1250 worth of goods. RESULT! Although do appreciate the guy that helped and served me and hope those laid off get lucky in finding a new job :(
i got an amazing kingsize solid oak bed with upgraded sprung slats from £569 to £165 and it is lovely i think thats a good deal so heat from me
just went to the carmarthen store and got lazio single bed was £99.00 £25.00 single comfort memory foam mattress was £129 £32.50 doubel comfort memory foam mattress was£169 £ 38.00 milal king size throw was £59.99 £16.79 display pillows not for sale normally £2.00 each with the blue dreams pillow case's single bed set £29.99 £8.39 super king size hollow fiber duvet £29.99 £8.39 super king size bed set (with 4 pillow case's) £59.99 £16.79 spoke to the manager and his store will only be open for 2-3 day at the most and the other stores that are not closing are not safe yet they will find out in the next few weeks. his store sold 10k worth of stuff on saturday and if it had been at normal sale price it would have been over 40k so that tells you how much you are saving. just remember take a calculator with you as they are taking the massive 72% off of the original price and the true price is still advertised so unless you are good at maths you will have no clue as to how much you are saving until its time to pay. DONT WAIT this is there last reduction so you will not get a better deal and don't for get you can get the display model as well. i saved just under £300 today now where else can you find a band new dobel bed for for less than £35.00??????
A reclining chair?
What does a fake bed look like ?
LOL, You can get Faux beds for £89...
Ditto what chrisp1986 said!
Same here, never again. Beds are absolute ****.
I bought my electric memory foam bed from these guys for £699. What a load of trash it turned out to be. Never will I buy anything from this lot who only gave me abuse when I complained about the quality of it (after 2 months).
the site is all messed up
Avoid dreams!!!!!!!!! Google for reviews and you will see why. My life was hell for weeks with them!
Haha, yes :)
not with a 10 month old baby you don't , lol
Anybody that shops at Dreams needs their head looking at. Their customer service in NON-existant and I'm still waiting for delivery after THREE months and four failed delivery dates. Useless.
They would have a discount deal or deals, but they are sofas, not the proper bedroom beds - on which you sleep all night and maybe in the day as well :)
i like this bed! It looks very elegant in bedroom. My friend got this yesterday!
Snook, is there any chance you could pm me some details as I was hoping to write to them too and would save me the effort of collecting names and addresses. Thanks
Please do not order from these guys. Their service is worse than bad in my opinion. Long storey short, ended up getting names of all the company directors and writing to them all recorded delivery before I could get a resolution. Be prepared to spend hours of your life in the phone. Don't even start me on staff attitude.
Don't order online from these guys. Great service in store but an absolute nightmare if you need to call for any reason. After they accepted a problem on their end with the house number (didn't register it yet took full payment) they delayed delivery by 6 days(without notifying us so called again after non-delivery) and after being promised 5 call backs by managers (after speaking to some unbeliavely rude staff), none of them have called back 2 weeks later. I will NEVER shop at Dreams again!!!
its £99 with Solid slats and £139 with sprung slat upgrade
Still massive saving...
@joeboy88, the address is castlecarry road cumbernauld, its situated in a retail park. @Freddie50, i can understand your frustration but unfortunately that isn't "dreams" problem, its the supplier/manufacturer and theres nothing that either the store or customer services can do as they dont get fed information back from supplier. If you were given a lead time and its beyond that then you have a right to cancel but least dont take it out on dreams as it isnt their fault. Its a shame for dreams tbh especially the sales staff in store as they do really try their hardest to give great service and its really the delivery/customer service thats appauling but people dont realise this and brand the company as being rubbish when in actual fact the sales staff are great, just not te rest unfortunately.....but is any company perfect?? i used to work in bed retail, bensons, dreams...
Been waiting almost 11 weeks on a dressing table. No mention of a delivery date so I'm on the verge of cancelling. Actually having stock is Dreams biggest disadvantage.
Dreams have a sale on?? Wow!!
Gareth what Is the address in Cumbernauld? Thanks
not everyone is the same, hence there are so many mattress choices out there. i paid a lot more for my tempur over 5years ago and have to say it still feels like it did when new. i was hesitant to spend the amount at the time but if i had to buy another mattress now, would not even look at others and just get tempur.
A QUICK UPDATE...........THE MATTRESS I BOUGHT WAS SOOOOO POPULAR THAT THEY HAD TO DELAY MY DELIVERY BY 6 DAYS.................FOR WHICH THEY GAVE ME 20% REDUCTION........THAT CAME TO £53-80 SO I DIDNT MIND THE WAIT..........THEN IT WAS DELIVERED ON TIME.......
Or, you could see it as some advice on avoiding PAYING MORE for something you could get for less. If someone posts a 'deal' and you have some advice that would help someone along the path to choosing that deal or not, in the spirit of the site (and several thousand posts similiar across many threads) shouldn't we share any knowledge we have to help? Or, as an Old Codger, are you just a miserable ****?
OH DEAR, seems some of you have either missed the point of this site, or don't understand what its about, its called HOT DEALS for the simple reason that hopefully a posted item will SAVE YOU money, its not a notice board to determine whether or not shop staff are so poorly paid that we should not be getting money off if we can, if you feel sooooo sorry for them maybe you should start a site that campaigns on their behalf and not clog up this one with inapropriate comments.
Dreams... avoid. Any bed retailer will do you free delivery if you say it's the difference between you buying or not, and you can probably push for discount on the bed too (former bed retailer area manager!). They work on a margin of 55% on average, frames more (they all come from China, flatpacked, waiting in the warehouses). Divans have less margin, as do mattresses, but if you say you're gonna go to a competitor you'll get a deal. The sales people are on basic salaries of £12-£16k, it's all about commission for these guys.
We've ordered a dressing table with dreams just over 10 weeks ago and they cannot even give us an estimate of when it will be available to be delivered! Good luck to you!!!
good price delivered, looking for a new one, mines squeaking a bit
Did you brother have the upgraded spring slat system? I guess that would make a difference as the spring slat system is centrally supported by 3 support legs which should take some of the strain off the front legs when on the bed.
Not recommended. My brother had this bed. Bottom end to legs have broken and making the bed frame at the bottom split slightly. Once side split dreams sent out someone to fix. Then the other side broke. He has got one side propped up with books at the moment until he gets a another bed delivered to him. think its down to the design on the outwards facing bed legs and the pressure on then. Avoid.
Nice bed but be warned my brother has been waiting for his bed he ordered from Dreams over 4 weeks ago and still he has not recieved it:( funny thing was last week a Dreams truck actually came to his house and when they went to the back of the truck to get his bed there was no bed lol.Funny for me but not funny for my lil bro.
I agree with your comments tWeetZ as i bought a tv bed recently and still having problems but we are gettin compo back and if you dont mind a wait there are some nice beds at decent prices. im gonna get this bed for spare bedroom so not in a rush for it
Been in the market for a bed recently, but ultimately ended up buying a bedstead and mattress from Next. However, I did visit Dreams. And, sadly was blatantly lied to about product availability and quality in two different stores. Be warned about these guys, they're not to be trusted.
this is original price... real rpp which is bargain as Nexus 7 (_;)
Nice enough bed for the price, don't think the original price was realistic though.
Ah, also includes some headboards and beds. See all the clearence deals here: http://www.dreams.co.uk/sale/clearance/?
No I can't see any showers in the clearance. Seems to be bedroom furniture Hinged Robe, 2 Drawer Chest, 5 Drawer Chest, 6 Drawer Chest, 10 Drawer Chest, etc
No examples = a ice cold shower
Offered us an 1150 quid Sleepeezee mattress that was 950 in their 'sale', for 850 if we bought that day. Also tried to coax us into 35 for a 5yr warranty, and 40 quid for delivery and removal of the old mattress. Did some Googling and found out that they re-brand mattresses on sale elsewhere else under different names and charge huge prices for them. We got the same mattress delivered with 5yr g/tee for 385 elsewhere. They called it the Sleepeezee Cairo, everyone else sells it as the Sleepeezee Backcare Ultimate 2000. RIP-OFF MERCHANTS !!!!!!
Their staff in the Dundee Kingsway shop are REALLY bad We were hassled by practically all the staff in the shop at different times, we had enough and just walked out
Bought my current bed from them in their Easter sale and it is awful. Poorest built quality I have seen, broke after 2 months and had to fight to feta replacement part. No idea how they are still in business
Yet another retailer with PERMANENT sale and yet again somebody posts about it.
Don't they always have a sale on just like sportsdirect.con. My local bores me with the promotions they have
maybe its me but it seems alot for a pillow
ouch! i got silent night memory foam pillows for about £7 at my local poundstretcher. do not buy these at that price!
Don't worry its absolute rubbish! The frame is actually made from chip wood ! Bought one and the screws wore themselves down through chip wood inside frame holding slats collapsed. Was replaced and same thing happened again. Dreams said it's our fault as beds are not made for sitting on they are for laying on !
I think you should have a lay in! :D
They charged £35 to my card hope they refund :D
I've seen this theory in a number of misprice threads and once again it's misinformed nonsense. Do you not think the time taken to rectify the problem, the fees involved with processing the credit card payment and subsequent refund slightly outweigh 3 days interest on a £35 order?
It would be about 3p at today's rates lol.
Just think the interest they have earned on the money in there bank from £35 each order even for three days with hundreds of orders. Lol worth a mistake i supose!!!
Got good recent reviews and looks quality so hot from me and my daughter who has just bought the double.
judging by the above pics, I'd say it's more 'nightmares' than 'dreams'.... looks cheap tat ...... seems "you get what you pay for" rings true here :)
Looks like a cheap and nasty bed. Dreams have more sales than dfs.
