    Do these actually work?

They do, in my opinion. I have to wear all black in work, and sometimes I may get caught with a splash of bleach when the cleaning is getting done. I always buy 2 pots and wash all my work stuff (2 pants & 4 tops) they always come out great. They do a great job on the bleach, too. (edited)

I had issues with dye on other washes after using this. Ruined some white shirts and light coloured cloths. Yes , I did follow all the instructions and also did drum cleans etc.

I found after use in a washing machine I’ve spent what seems like hours having to clean the rubber door seal. Even now when I remove sheets from washing some how they seem to pick up some black marks from the seal. I would only recommend using this is an old washing machine, else use a sink bowl.

PS. they were £3.95 in home bargains, not sure if that’s still the case though.

Works great, used these on clothes, curtains and other fabrics.

Do run the washing gmachine after with a tablet (as it states on the instructions) after dying.

I don't want to share details but don't do it if your machine uses a small bucket of water, it won't even dilute. It will leave black slur-like grease inside which will stain cloths like a black mould (machines mould inside that silicon collar anyway so it will stain extra).

I didn't do that, but I had to empty one of those machines and that took about 5 hours, an enormous amount of bleach, citric acid, and soda (whatever I found corrosive, some worked partly on one kind of "dirt" then another substance removed some "other"). I left the machine full of water overnight as well. After that, I increased the amount of taken water by the pressure switch as well as the "eco" mode was a waste of time.
