thanks for this. had just purchased the hotpoint fdfex11011k dishwasher from another deal and saw this. the tablets arrived today, 3 days after applying for the promotion. 210 dishwasher tablets delivered for free. how can it not be good. Got the above dishwasher and 210 tablets for £177 delivered.

Worth 24 quid so costs them a lot less. Not much of a deal is it !!

210:- The gift consists 9 months Free Fairy Platinum dependent on the Selected Appliance in the form of 210 Fairy Platinum All in One capsules, (3 packs), which is equivalent to over 9 months supply, based on 280 cycles per year for an average UK household as used for the “EU preparatory study for Energy Using Products (EuP) I can fit a couple of days worth of washing up in mine for the four of us, and average a bit over 4 washes a week. I used to own a Hotpoint branded dishwasher it was pretty good, even got a good review from Which?, but it was actually manufactured by Bosch, as it was before Hotpoint started manufacturing their own. It was still working when I got rid of it after about 20 years. I also wouldn't buy a Hotpoint/indesit/whirlpool today.

Hotpoint - no thanks!

How on earth can they class 110 tablets as 9 months supply? Even at 28 days per month that would be 225 tabs! Wouldn't ever buy Hotpoint/Indesit again anyway as they are rubbish!

Thanks, op. Good and entertaining first post!! (y)

I always use salt and rinse aid, whatever dishwasher tablet/powder I use, as I live in a hard water area and all in one tablets aren't effective on their own. As I recall some All-in-one tablets still suggest using salt and rinse aid in hard water areas at least. see (8) I'm pretty certain the residue left is not limescale, but some ingredient from the tablet, it doesn't look like normal limescale, and on the last occasion I used them I put an extra tablet in and there was a huge amount of grey muck over everything, which would seem to confirm it was residue from the tablets themselves (I'd restarted the dishwasher as it was on the wrong program and the first tablet had part dissolved).

I think you're meant to use rinse aid and salt with the classic tablet From the Finish website

The ones I got were intended for the Polish market (the importer had put a sticker on the packet with the ingredients in English so that they could sell them in the UK), and are not the same as the ones intended for the UK, but I would of thought if they are fake, Reckitt Benckiser would have taken legal action against the various budget chains to stop them importing and selling the stuff. Amazon's 1 star reviews seem to have the same residue problem as I did:-

Saw these also today and on looking at the box I began to think the same also

Hardly a massive saving of 41p. @worthinger up top paid through PayPal for £33.99, and hasn't been charged delivery. I would say 41 degrees was Luke warm BTW, was just joking, maybe I should have added a few more hahahaha's

Not sure what you think luke warm means but I think most people would say 41 degrees is about right. I know that a lot of people don't have access to Makro but this is in the current Makro Mail at £16.79 (including VAT) for a box of 110 but is buy one get one free for 440 tablets works out at £33.58.

Its hardly Luke warm at 41degrees haha..

Surprising that this has moved into luke warm territory. These have been a lot cheaper in the past (might still be) at various discount retailers. I remember my Staples (now Office Outlet) had a huge load of these for £5 for a box of 110 a few months ago. I didn't get any as the reviews I read at the time rated them poorly.

Unfortunately not the all in 1 tablets so remember if you order these, you will need salt and rinse aid.

Fairy Original All in One Dishwasher Capsules (84 pack) - £9 10.7p per capsule.

I've read the both Lidl & Aldi own brands are equally as good as most of the competition & work out at 5p per wash. I will try these first.

These work out at 10.7p per wash.

This is going to make me YouTube famous!

Apparently Aldi's own brand Magnum is supposed to be fairly good, and cost about half the price, agree that everything else doesn't come close (was surprised how badly Finish was rated). Having said that Quantum Powerball Finish is rated better than the regular Fairy.

They are very nice indeed and a similar price. A better buy I think.

It's frightening just how easy people get roped in by the big brands. Years ago people used to wash their dishes in dirty sinks with average washing liquids thinking that their plates were clean when all they had been doing was washing their dishes in dirty water that got dirtier with each plate. We use lidls own brands and have had no issues with them and I guess these would be the same.

I've been using these for months. They clean just as well as Finish Quantum Max.

You can usually get these from Boyces too. They normally do an 18 in a pack for £1 (so not quite as good as this deal). They clean just as well as premium brands do - no complaints, I'd recommend them.

Not tried them yet myself, other thread a few months ago suggests otherwise, but we'll see.

These are rubbish got them last week didn't clean properly

Which Best Buy for 5p a tablet, can't go wrong!
Get dealGet deal

I use all in 1 tablets and rinse aid. The classic tablets never do as good job getting stains out of cups I find. So I don't think classics are same minus rinse aid they must have more to it than that. I also use Fairy originals that I bought loads of on Morrisons Black Friday offer but these cheap Lidl one's will make those last twice as long.

The packet I have at home declares it Which Best Buy February 2017. Does that mean it's not a current best buy? :/ Other packets also have Good Housekeeping Approved all over them

Had the same thought - when were they Which best buy?(perheps original poster could clarify) - reading post info its easy to make an assumption that its a current best buy (and if its not, that would be misleading?)

Thanks for this, recently got myself a dishwasher and been wondering which tablets are best to use. (highfive)

No longer a Which? Best Buy in fact. Been using these for years though, very happy with them.

Finish Powerball Classic Dishwasher Tablets £14.38 for 220 (0.07p each) from Monday @ Costco
Found 25th JanFound 25th Jan
Costco Membership required - well below the magic 10p/tablet mark!

I note that these, too, have decreased in weight when I looked this evening!

Those contain 0.2kg less (1.7kg rather than 1.9kg). doesn't really make a difference, I suspect. Just bought 3 x 90 packs of Tesco which were £5.80 on RTC.

I used these all the time, until I took a chance on lidl all in one tablets 40 for £1.99 when on offer. They are great and I wouldn’t go back.

You can break them in half and they work just as well anyway, try it and thank me later

Be careful with these; the weight inside is actually less than the standard 110 pack (I think it is 200g less) though I doubt if it will make a huge amount of difference with 2g off each one!

I put it on as pound land and it came up as then, I will try and change it, please be gentle it's my fist deal

They are two different companies, probably best to change the picture and the title as it's misleading.

no it was pound world up here in Scotland, they don't just do £1
