I had one of these all along and didn't know it. Inherited, I didn't know that it is a "roofers bowsaw". IMLE, there's nothing to match it, short of a chain saw, for cutting boughs off a living (green) tree. Even ones several inches thick.

You can get different blades to suit what you are cutting. Some blades are better for green wood, others for dried or dead wood. And it does slice through quickly and cleanly without much effort.
