I've been using this phone for months. It's nice and responsive, but but do I regret this purchase. No palm rejection makes it annoying to use. Also if you do get it, make sure to get a case - this thing is absurdly slipperly, even if you put it down somewhere flat, it'll find a way to slip away out of nowhere. I don't think any thought went into ergonomics when designing this.

How can you use it as daily driver without power bank considering it has ppwer hungry diplay and flagship processor but only 2800mAh battery. Even 5000mAh is just enough these days in android obviously

How would this version compare to the 6a or even the 5 or 4XL? Thanks in advance.

Pixel 6A is obviously better with same camera hardware but new flagship processor and future proof for updates. If you dont really into gaming and dont care about having latest software then get 3a xl, 4a 5G, pixel 5 or 4 XL still great for photography and everyday usage

Pixel 4 is not good option because it has lowest battery capacity and dont know what screen on time you will achieve (edited)

Afaik this can have GrapheneOS installed if you want to achieve a handset that can be properly secured and "de-googled". That alone makes it a cut above other devices in the same bracket.

P5 opened and never used, I'd jump! Still a great phone if you want an excellent camera and don't need 5G. Bot supported anymore but you can get the updates using lineageOS. No fingerprint sensor, face unlock.

Bear in mind this is no longer supported by Google so won't get Android updates or security patches.

Workaround is to flash the Pixel Experience ROM instead, which is similar enough, but kept up to date. Needs a little techy know how though

Tbh it doesn't matter if it's not supported. I'm using mine as normal and as long as you keep your apps up to date from play store and do the Google play system updates, you'll be fine

I found this description " Opened but never used " very amusing 😄there is no away to find out if a phone was used or not used once you open it to use lol

Secondly phone was relaased back in 2019 so they probably opened it and left it for us to use in 2023 because they know we are lazy and cannot open it (edited)

When Google has massive unsold stock of older models, they dump it off as new/not-new, but actually new. It's a standard marketing trick to avoid issue with outlets that do not want very cheap versions of older models competing with sales of new models.

You comment is therefore as stupid as the one suggesting 5000mah batteries being "barely enough" for android.

For this money would say something like the A14 would be a lot better. Sorry, just the battery and the age of the phone will start to show soon

Good phone but battery will be poor after couple of years so will have to charge every day at least.
