Been thinking about getting this or the Versa 4, not done a huge amount of research but most seem to lean towards the Versa 4.

Any others I should consider? (Roughly same budget, below £250ish)

There is a guy with a YouTube channel called Quantified Scientist that does many tests with a fitness tracker and smart watches for heart rate and sleep tracking.

I did get Huawei Band 8 which did a good job of tracking heart rate but it didn't do well with tracking my sleep.

It's a decent watch for this price but the battery is terrible. Turning the screen off and only using it for notifications and it still lasts less than 2 days. If you use Fitbit to track any exercise the battery gets hammered even more.

I got mine for free with my phone - on that basis I'm pretty happy with it. The battery life does indeed mean it pretty much must be charged overnight, even with light usage.
If I were a paying customer, this is closer to the right price - I think the original RRP is asking far too much for what it is. I'm not surprised to see this price drop and I'd expect to see more of the same

Totally agree. Although I like to have the sleep tracking, so I charge mine while working at my desk, I get about 1 day battery with a run during the day. I am slightly disappointed, as a slightly higher battery life would have been nice, it's frustrating if I get to bedtime and notice it's not got any power... But then saying that, it's faster at charging than watches used to be, so it can be quickly topped up enough to get you through the night while you're getting ready for bed.

My smartwatch gives me 10 days battery with constant monitor of heart rate and oxygen . Not sure I could live with 24h battery life… (edited)

I got one from Amazon recently in similar deal. The watch is great. The battery life is short as mentioned, but it does charge quickly so it is not a major problem. I charge it from my pixel phone using the supplied usb-c charger cable.

I wouldn't consider it at the full price but for the £130 it is a steal and for £150 it is still a bargain. Some competitors have better batteries, but with the pixel watch at least you know it will be supported properly with updates for the forseeable future.

I'm guessing you don't have a Pixel phone. That's the theory yes, in practise updates are a wild buggy ride.

I bought this for £200 from Fitbit store a few weeks ago but returned as unopened, I'm now waiting for the Pixel Watch 3 as rumours are they are doing a larger screen and thus will surely have a larger, longer lasting battery. I'll stick with my Fitbit Sense until then (edited)

I will all but guarantee that they're going to do the same thing they've been doing with their Pixel phones for years, increasing the battery to match increased demand so the result is the same.

Unless they change something else about how it works, but I doubt it. The significant improvement in battery life in the Watch 2 over the first is due to changing the processor. (edited)
