ECG feature:

Developed to help users to stay more informed about their health, the HUAWEI WATCH GT 3 Pro’s high-performance ECG sensor module can capture a real-time analysis of users’ sinus rhythm and atrial fibrillation. Among many other health issues, this electrocardiogram monitoring can help users identify irregular heart rhythms, which left untreated can result in a stroke. Just touch the electrode on the side for 30 seconds, real-time result can be shown on the watch after the measurement.

What’s more, this ECG smartwatch’s cutting-edge PPG sensors can enable users to screen for arteriosclerosis, while its tailored health tips can further advise them on how they can further boost their cardiovascular health.

The HUAWEI WATCH GT 3 Pro’s new and improved electrode technology, which has made electrocardiogram signal collection more accurate and responsive. Comprised of HUAWEI’s TruSeen™ 5.0+ heart rate monitor and PVD-coated electrodes on the curved, transparent neocrystalline caseback, this high-end ECG feature can deploy eight photoelectric sensors in a ring formation, capturing enhanced signals and filtering out interference, to provide users real-time results. Thanks to this advanced health monitoring technology, users of the HUAWEI WATCH GT 3 Pro can monitor their heart rate on a 24-hour basis and can receive immediate, real-time alerts whenever their heart strays from its normal rhythm.

How do you know they are of the same quality and won't lose your watch?

Hi Op, is the main difference between the 3 & 3Pro the ECG?

Hi. I think GT 3 Pro also has better build quality (Titanium body and Sapphire Glass) and a bigger battery.

How do you get their watch / health app if not using a Huawei Android phone?

I searched Huawei App in the Play store and could not find it, due to the Google ban?
    D3P0's avatar
Download through their app gallery or with browser

From what I am reading ECG is only for afib. Other ECG analysis not functional. Looks a limitation but how much of an issue this is I don't know. Anyone a doctor?

Really depends on what you are looking for. In terms of ECG functionality, I can't say this would be reliable. ECGs require electrodes to be placed on specific parts of the body. I'm not sure how this picks up the readings from just the wrist.

Also ECG will need to be interpreted by a healthcare professional.

Just generally speaking, a normal healthy individual should not require the ECG functionality on a smart watch. For people with Atrial Fibrillation (AF), smart watches may be useful. This is mainly to pick up when the heart rate is too fast. This can be picked up by most watches.

What's the battery like on this/these watches?

    And no WearOS?

I've had a gt3 pro for a while now. I send and receive notifications. Respond to calls. Don't use the fitness tracking much and average 10 days of battery life. Hope this helps.

    Thanks Op

    Great watch.

Recently upgraded my 3+ year old GT 2 PRO to this and sold the old watch on Ebay for £75 (minus strap).

Good price but I will wait for realease of GT 5 PRO to see what they offer. Until then I am more than happy with my titanium GT 2 PRO.

Excellent watch and a great price. Heat. (edited)

Bought the light Titanium version, Love it!

    Thanks.

Does the GT 3 Pro recognise and record naps? It has NFC but spec doesn't mention if it supports contactless payments. Do the analogue watch faces show heartbeat? I currently have a Xiaomi S3 and all the analogue faces don't show heart beat!!
    bob9's avatar
The NFC doesn't support payments in the UK

This or the Pixel Watch 2?

Based on looks, this by a mile. Not sure about anything else.

Replaced my Fenix 6X with this a year ago.

Much better for my use and significantly cheaper for a superior build and look.

    Works with Strava no problem.
    Swidc's avatar
Superior build than the fenix 6x I pretty much doubt that, be serious

Defined support period appears to have finished?

Does anyone have the titanium strap version? If so, would you say it's worth the extra £40?
    Ouzoherb's avatar
only if you like a loose band as by the look of it there are no micro adjustment holes so unlikely to be a perfect fit.  style over substance a modern disease im afraid
  23. Datuk's avatar
Wonder if there's any significant changes between this and GT4
    Ouzoherb's avatar
not much actually, slightly more accurate heart monitoring
  24. Matt222's avatar
    What is battery life like?
    LordFlashHeart's avatar
Depends on what you have enabled and what you do with it. If you're using it daily to track using GPS for a few hours with notifications on and constant heartrate tracking it might only last 2 days, but if you're just using it as a watch for notifications, sleep tracking with heartrate you should get a week.

Can you trigger your phone's assistant with it? I.e. by speaking into the mic, or a button?
    D3P0's avatar
    Yes

The thing is with the metal on how would this be a good gym watch? Seems more like a fashion statement.
    Willy_Wonka's avatar
It depends on how you determine a smart watch.

If you determine a smart watch on its suitability for use in a gym then you might as well get a decent band as anything else is just aesthetics.

I have 4 smart watches, none of which were bought for use in a gym.

Does the grey leather come with a black strap too? My GT-2 came with brown leather and black strap a few years back.
    D3P0's avatar
Nope,I ordered the black but I regret not going for the leather..oh well..

How is this possible that this promo is cheaper than in China?
  29. juliawalsh6ee98's avatar
If its any help I managed to get Currys to price match the deal. Very pleased with the watch so far!

i got mine on saturday, and already have a scratch on the glass, i haven't hit anything or even scrapped ahainst anything, I've had the GT 2 for 4 years and it still looks flawless (even tho i banged that into everything) . Not sure why the GT 3 pro could get a scratch so easily. could it be a manufacturing defect? anyone else experienced this? (edited)
    Erooz's avatar
Strange, I scraped mine against a cement mixer and there's not a mark on it.
