    Look, lets be honest.
is this tv going to ever win any awards ? No
Is it going to have great motion smoothing for 24fps movies ? No
Is HDR going to be terrible on it? Yes

But good god people - for a typical "gets the job done" tv at this size and price, it ticks every box.

Purists move along, the average punter come on in (edited)

Wait, are you trying to tell me I won't be getting £1000 worth of TV for £215 and that we should have realistic expectations depending on price? Maybe you don't understand how HUKD works!

I know you pay for what you get , but I would always recommend a 100/120hz TV. If the image processing isn't good (which it definitely won't be at this price range- and is definitely needed on a LCD) you can always just max out judder reduction (flashes same frame multiple times which tricks your eyes into seeing smoothness without soap opera effect).

My 15 year old samsung has this feature.

Pretty much all motion reduction tech on TVs look awful and should be turned off as soon as you buy it.

Recently someone pointed out our cheap, 4 year old LG panel is very "blue", which I now read is symptomatic of bargain basement LEDs fading. Now I can't unsee a blue tint to TV life, so I find myself looking at every TV offer... which only goes to remind me what a thoroughly miserable experience buying any electronic item is!

So much choice, so few guarantees that spending more will get you what you want, and last for long enough to justify the money. Which means I'll just keep watching threads like this, spot one under £500 which has decent comments, and then I'll come back in a year to cry about not spending £1k!

I hate spending money to replace stuff that still "works" though. That's how the planet got in an environmental mess! But I'm also growing to hate blue.

Of course the only thing that will matter with TVs soon is how much power do they use! Though I guess if the central heating's off, huddling around the TV for warmth could be useful, like we did in the 70s. #FirstWorldProblems

This happened due to an issue with the LED strips that LG was purchasing, that created too much heat, which eroded the yellow filter colour, leaving only the Blue LED to produce the light.

This affected their top of the range TV's too, not just the cheaper sets.

All TV's made by them over the past couple of years should be free of this issue. (edited)

Which card/membership do I need to purchase this at this price? I'm local government and my wife is blue lights, so we qualify for the "individual" membership if needed. (edited)
    ycraw's avatar
Hi if your wife goes onto BlueLightCard and signs in online they had really good deal join up for £38 I think it was they gave you £10 to spend in store and £10 online so quite handy got new tool box for half price and cooler table delivered for putting champagne or beer in with ice any there’s table at top … sorry off the subject of TV’s but good deals
  7. JamesDrew's avatar
Can anyone shop in their store? I have online membership only?
    FreakyGeek's avatar
Unfortunately not. You need a full Costco card to shop in-store. In order to get one you have to be working in a certain business sector or be self employed. There is also an increased price. Online only membership is £15 whereas the in-store membership costs £29 a year (edited)

The warranty with Costco alone is worth at least £30-£40, this is the best deal for a TV that’s ever been on this site
  10. Noxy's avatar
this is a great price. my Hisense 43" 4k i bought in 2016 (£300) still works perfectly , cant believe how cheap these are getting now.

I’m not a Costco member (at the moment) and can’t see these deals online? Do you have to login with your membership to see them? Or are they in store only? Thanks
    AndrewWaddin-33961.57250's avatar
You do have to be a member to be able to log in and see the price. Hoping this helps you

I really dont mind the idea of Chinese spyware if such a thing exists. When they find out ive been watching Deep State whilst drinking Westons cider I wonder what they will do with that information lmao. Much more worried about Alexa spying on me. and recording my conversations.
Im a member but cant find this TV . Do I need to be logged in for the link to work ?

According to answers on Argos it has HDMI 2.1 but motion rate 60 MHz. Can’t see any reviews for it
    joelfl2's avatar
If DisplaySpecifications is correct, then it's HDMI 2.0 but with VRR. Which would also make sense for the price.

Is this any better than the Toshiba that Costco had on off the other week at a similar price ?
    gemmabibby's avatar
I’m having problems with the toshiba, it will only load 6 channels, I’m taking it back tommorrow m, spent hours on the phone to toshiba, last resort they told me to get an aerial booster fml !

    Android TV or Roku ?
    jordanc93's avatar
Neither it uses Hisense own VIDAA OS.
  20. rochdalemark's avatar
Apparently the 55” version has better gaming features if that’s the kind of thing you want.
I’m just hoping a budget tv will come along with 2.1 hdmi
  21. avivalasvegas's avatar
After my Chinese telly mainboard caught fire, I wouldn't touch them with a 10 ft pole! Just remember the age ol saying, you get what you pay for! When it comes it Hisense, it's all nonsense!
  22. TheCostOfLies's avatar
    This has ALLM and VRR!?

That's hot to the be the best gaming features on a budget TV. Even for 4k/60 gaming, that's excellent

For 200 quid this TV is amazing. Out of the box just about finished setting it up in our bedroom. Ok so it’s nothing like my OLED Sony but then it’s nothing like what I paid for the Sony. Don’t forget if you don’t like it in 90 days of getting it just take it back to Costco. If it’s dead within 5 years take it back to Costco. Remember it’s 200 quid telly. Oh and if you own a GT86 it fits like a gloves for the drive home. Amazing. Cheers op
