    One of the biggest frauds of the last few years with the 'Energy Saving gag' for Nest & Hive.

    If you've got a programmable Thermostat then it's a waste to spend £130 on this 'upgrade' - especially if you're paying someone to fit it.

    If you want smart then go for Drayton Wiser or Tado, they're established and have superior features for more reasonable cost. Same equivalent from Drayton is £100 on Amazon at the moment, and the kits with multiple TRVs are often available for a little over this Hive cost.

    ? Price matching Toolstation/Screwfix although you can get extra 10% off with Toolstation 1st app order.

    These are the worst things going , just had a new boiler fitted and was sold one of these , have had 3 people try to plaid with iPhones and it won’t see it , swapped module and it’s the same , if you need so,etching hassle free avoid these

    Strange, i had this in my last house and it was one of the first things we got installed when we moved into my current house. Has worked flawlessly both times!

    I was planning to install Hive, however the Tado V3+ came up on offer for around £60 on here not long ago, decided to opt for that given the saving on price.

    A few niggles I found were;
    -a slight delay in it triggering the schedule at times
    -the hanging bracket for the display is poorly designed and you need to add a 'packer' to keep it securely in place
    -the open window sensor is annoying, I have the temp display near a door and everytime the door opens, it picks up the 'gust of wind' and thinks there is a window open and whilst this is on, it will not allow the shedule to trigger, so it's best to disable it.

    Despite the above, given the price difference I am relatively happy with the Tado, also the display is nice and slim whereas the Hive is a massive chunk that sticks out of the wall.
