I don’t think that people who are fine with 8GB of RAM would be able to tell the difference between M1 and M3
So voted cold based on the M1 being £699 just the other day.

Apple with its new system on a chip setup with only 8GB of ram or some other crazy low number is the new built in obsolescence and a way around the new EU right to fix rules.

Scandalous and hope the EU fines them for it.

Don't worry about them. Usually skinflints or paupers do that, or Apple haters.

I like the colour. I have a Mac Studio M1 Max already, so probably not the machine for me. Heat.

Well there you go folks, this post shows the utter farce of the HOT - COLD voting system on this site, my understanding the voting was on the DEAL i.e. is a great price, NOT whether you liked the item or not.

Nobody has come forward to show any other deal near this, in fact nobody has even tried, so it seems an 18% reduction of £311.86 is NOT a deal.

Maybe people will take the hot/cold with a pinch of salt, I wonder how many great deals have fallen by the wayside as people only tend time wise to look at hot deals, makes you wonder, doesn't it!

Just for completeness people need to understand more about whats in the machine, complaints about RAM are outdated as shown below although more RAM is always useful but you get more performance now with integrated unified memory in the M3 Chip and the 10 Core performance.

    Apple M3:
Chip M3 brings incredible performance and capability so you can blaze through everyday activities, multitask across apps, pursue your creative passions and play your favourite games

    • Run multiple apps, effortlessly edit 4K video and speed through thousands of photos

    Unified Memory:
Faster and more efficient than traditional RAM, unified memory is integrated within the M3 chip so apps can quickly share data between the CPU, GPU and Neural Engine

    • Run multiple apps at once while performance remains fast and responsive

    Storage:
Solid-state drive (SSD) storage is the amount of space your iMac has for your documents, photos, music, videos and other files

    • Delivers exceptional performance and speed when you start up your iMac, launch apps, open files and browse libraries
    • Can be configured with up to 2TB of storage OR as I have shown adapted with an internal SSD accessory (see other posts)

    Ports:
Ports allow you to connect accessories like printers, cameras, an additional display and external drives to your iMac for data transfer, charging and syncing

    • Thunderbolt ports let you connect high-speed accessories
    • Models like this one ALSO have two USB 3 ports allow you to connect even more (the base M1 and M3 models ONLY HAVE 2 PORTS)
