Hands free safety
The AnySharp’s safety feature is its PowerGrip suction cup base, which attaches securely to any smooth surface or worktop without the need for any tools. Once it’s attached you can sharpen any knife safely hands free.

Knife edge safety
When your whole knife has been run through, your knife edge may touch as it exits the sharpening tools. The AnySharp has a long-lasting polymer guiding top that is softer than metal, and therefore won’t damage the metal edge, making it safe for your knives too.

Easy, light strokes
With a totally blunt knife, AnySharp will hone it to an optimal angle, and remove excess metal rapidly the first time you use it. AnySharp does not work well with heavy strokes or too much pressure.

Please use only light pressure.

I've been using this for years. Every 2 or 3 weeks a quick run through and knives kept nice and sharp.
They are not expensive knives but most take a half decent edge and perfectly good for cutting up meat. They have not been destroyed, as many knife snobs will no doubt come on here and suggest.

Bought a couple for family in my time too and they are equally impressed and use all the time.

These will destroy your knives. Learn how to sharpen with a wet stone.

The first time you use this you'll be amazed at how sharp your knife becomes, then you'll use it again and a few months down the line your knife will be destroyed - it will tear chunks out.
It then took me about an hour using a wet stone and I managed to get it back to a decent state. This is my personal experience.

I only have cheap knives and I find this to be excellent.

Agreed this isn’t great for knives. Personally I have a mixture of extremely cheap knives that I use this for and a few expensive knives for whetstone only.

    Great price though (edited)

This is great for cheap knives like 90% of people have. I wouldn't use it on an expensive set, but then again, I haven't got an expensive set as I only cook for me and have nothing to overcompensate for.

Absolute garbage and yet always end up on here for some reason.

These just about work, but not very well. I'd advise avoid and sharpen your knives properly, it's not really any harder

I had one of these before so brought another one. like most other people this will be for cheap knives, not my expensive set.... Also this is safer in my eyes for some older generation.

What do all these people class as a cheap set of knifes and an expensive set of knifes. Asking for a friend

I brought one of these as my kids watched videos and said it was supposed to be great. It didn’t last very long, and my not very expensive knives got destroyed by this thing. Will stick with a sharpening stone going forward, from a non knife snob. And of course all based on my experience and IMO. (edited)

I found this quite useless, I got one when it was on here before maybe a couple of years ago, it couldn't sharpen my wit if it tried.

I got a different one from temu, of all places, and it's brilliant. Sharpens my knives a treat.
