Funko games have recently broken up their games department and sold it off, so it's possible that could affect their game prices and availability, but for now this is a really good price on a legacy board game.

Propsero Hall, the studio that created the Funkoverse game you're referring to, and the one listed above, are almost solely responsible for redefining IP-based games as more than just cash-grabs (See Goonies Never Say Die, Back to the Future : Back in time, Indiana Jones, Horrified, Villainous)
That's not to say this isn't a game you can play with kids, but it's definitely not 'the game of life'. Sessions in this game last up to two hours, and the story develops over 12-24 games, after which you've consumed the game.
If you want to get kids into some dino board games, I'd look at Draftasaurus, Dinosaur Tea Party, or Happy Little Dinosaurs
And for anyone looking for non-dino recommendations - Ticket To Ride, Sushi Go, Kingdomino, Dixit, Downforce, Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza, Memoarrr!...
I only played the tutorial so far but I can confirm that the art work is very good, the miniatures pretty cool and the gameplay seems ok - however, I also read that it is better to play with a smaller group (one or two players) due to the limited number of actions available each turn (the more players, the fewer actions each can take) - therefore, for people that plan to play with their kids, say three, or four player count, then it might not be that great.
