If the theme park was open this would have been a great deal!

Other than the Duplo gift bag & pop-badge, is there anything else extra in the Duplo Stay, that you don't get in the 'Splash & Stay'?

We have been a few times now, stayed twice in the legoland hotel- once on the pirate themed floor and once on the adventurers themed floor. We didn't use the hotel pool as it was fully booked (we didn't know you needed to book) and there wasn't any room to sit for the entertainment (part was closed off for refurb which we weren't aware of when we booked).
I wasn't aware that they still opened the hotel when the park is closed, it wouldn't be worth the drive for us but I guess its good for those who live nearby who have had their fill of the park but would like to experience the themed hotel or have other things of interest to do locally..

Went a couple of years ago as a birthday treat. Bricks restaurant is an all you can eat buffet well suited to youngsters, large outdoor playground, indoor fort playground by the bar area which has entertainment, large lego play pits by reception, small shop and a well themed (but very busy) splash pool. The bedrooms are well themed, and the kids beds are seperated from the adultsby the bathroom, which works really well.
Going when the park is open is very expensive, and you wouldn't have time to use the hotel features to their fullest.

What's with this new fad of staying in a shod hotel and going back again …What's with this new fad of staying in a shod hotel and going back again the next day only to endure all that queuing and extortionate food pricing again!

Thanks, just booked. Topcashbach do cash back as well.

Fab deal, we had an awesome time last time we went, but didn't get chance to stay in hotel. Sounds great

One of them is in the same county

To be honest i'd consider just staying at the hotels and forgetting the park.

We don't live far (few miles) and despite having a 2 year old and Merlin passes for us and the Grandparents, we've only bothered taking her 4 times between us. Three of the four times the queues were ridiculous, we are talking about an hour to get some food, let alone get on a ride. The one time it was relatively less busy (but still busy) they didn't bother opening half the rides.

On a general note, we've been really disappointed with the passes. We've had them in the past, when family visited they worked out reasonable value for sight seeing. Eventually we stopped getting them as everyone had seen the sites they cover enough times, but this year we got them as the little one was coming to the age where she'd start enjoying the parks/london eye/etc.

Have to say, comparing to the past, prices have gone up significantly but what you get in return has deteriorated. You need premium for Fast Track, Special days, Summer hols in London, parking ,etc. The parks don't look like they've had a make over in years. And one of the advantages (as we live close to the parks) was you could pop in off peak on a whim to avoid the queues. But recent experience (including the other parks) has been they only operate "properly" when its wall to wall busy Don't think we'll be getting the passes again. The parks are closed half the year to begin with, if they are effectively going to run them half closed for much of the rest of the time (other then the odd weekend or school hols) whats the point in an annual pass!

Good price but what's with the pricing per person? You mean it's from £122. Or can I book it for 2 people from £61?

I went on a similar package last year. It was super busy. I hated the whole idea of the queue bot queue jumping tickets available for a considerable extra cost.

Basically if you pay up you can pretty much avoid all queues while the poor look on.

Out of all the theme parks I've taken my kids to this is my least favourite.

Thansk Op. Booked for the half term break in Oct, the weekend of my son … Thansk Op. Booked for the half term break in Oct, the weekend of my son birthday for a special treat for him. Four of us booked for the Hilton (4*) with breakfast, plus evening time they offer free ice lolly at the hotel.Plan to have a relaxing first day, finish around 4pm, pick up the ice lolly at hotel then go for swimming at the hotel pool. Will then have dinner at the hotel restaurant with 15% off the bill plus kids eat free! Don't forget to pre-book the car park permit at the booking, which you get 10% off the add-on as well, so £9 for two-day car park permit rather than £10.Last few years we usually only did one day visit and left the park when it closed but ended stuck at the car park for almost an hour as everyone else try to leave at the same time. So hoping this time leaving at 4'ish pm will be more relaxing and enjoyable.

Yup, I guess the deal maker for you was that free ice lolly!! Lol....it'll freezing in October so you might want to swap that ice lolly for a hot soup lol...

I was looking at this before I booked as I have 3 kids with 1 under the age of 2, and I could not find any info on this (maybe I didn't look hard enough).

Anyway, I booked the tickets and just thought if I have to pay anything I'll just pay. FYI I booked to stay at the Hilton in Basingstoke. I did not have to pay anything extra through out my day as under 2s go free in Legoland and the Hilton was happy I came with my own travel cot

I Hope this helps.

Sorry, the above post was my response to you.

I went to Legoland Sunday and yesterday courtesy of this deal. Thanks OP. I have 3 kids with the middle one just under 1.0m and we are talking by 5mm!! Anyway some rides require the child to be 0.9m+, but majority of the rides require 1.0m+. She was really disappointed that she couldn't go on any of the water rides. Other than that they really enjoyed it.

I hope that helps

When Legoland started charging for parking, they initially made it pay on entry. The queues on the surrouding roads were horrendous and the Council told them they had to come up with an alternative that meant any queues were within their property - hence the 'pay on exit'.

Exit tickets can be bought at any point during the day - also, there are plenty of staff around with the ticket ready to take your money and let you exit. We have been approx. 10-12 times and never had any problem with either parking or leaving ! We generally do all the rides etc during he day then relax and don't race off at closing time - we have in the past spent an hour walking round the model village etc before exiting - and straight out no bother !

whats the welcome pack??

If its the same as we got 3 years ago, ours was just a kids 'fun pack' with a few colouring books and crayons. Not even Lego branded or anything, rather cheap really.

That was a Legoland Holidays booking, staying at a Holiday Inn Express at Slough, which was about 10 minutes drive form Legoland.

When we went, we enjoyed it, and whilst it was busy, it wasn't too busy, and that was during a June Half Term. You really need two days there, to allow for possible queues, so you can go on tings you may have missed on day 1.

Would love to go back, but living in Newcastle, its a mini holiday for us to travel down to Windsor, and last time, we had two day park tickets, but stayed for 3 nights.

I ambitiously tried to get everything done in a day but queues were too long for some rides so only covered about 2 thirds of the park.

I found Hotel:Holiday Inn Slough Windsor + 2 Days Park Entry for 2A + 2C for £276?
thats 1st May Bank Holiday and the following day

Is it easier/cheaper to buy hotel separate from park tickets (we have kelloggs 2for1 but I think these are full priced adults, pay on day/at gate)

For the 1 Day + 1 Day FREE deal, do the 2 days have to be in succession? Or can one visit now and use the second day tickets some other time in the future?

Parks closed ?? U sure

Is it including park enter """"""".

So I'd be taking my kids all the way down to Legoland, stay in the hotel, but oops sorry Legoland is closed boys!!??.. sounded good until I read the park was closed!!!

Overall Legoland is overpriced... You get far less for your money than in other theme parks which offer just as much for younger children. Spend your hard earned pennies elsewhere!

We stayed at this hotel for the weekend in Feb half term and had an absolutely brilliant time. It was very clean, staff were excellent and despite it being busy dye to junior builders week everything was working well and we had no issues. would highly recommend and will definitely be returning
