Are the hotels in the park as well?

Athravan

I've booked at £140 night before for a family of 3 (2 adults 1 child) and that includes two days park entrance for all three of us... I guess this would be a good deal perhaps for those with under 2s who don't understand what the park is so won't be disappointed but will still like the bright colours and the swimming pool.

The selling of Fast tracks/QBot and sadly the abuse of RAP makes the experience very poor for the ‘regular’ guest. Having said that, a Merlin Annual Pass is actually much better because you haven’t paid for one day, thus you can turn up in the morning, do a few rides and then head off around lunch time. Come back another day and do the same etc... People tend to drop in through the day so generally if you arrive for park opening you can easily get on around 3 / 4 rides by lunch time. 20% off food and in the shop as well, and on sale now :)

Jemma_Bravender

Cant seem to find any cheaper than 380 :/

Yeah but price one child onto the cost of the offer. Surely it’s better than individual cost. Plus the reason why they don’t do it for 3 children is because offers like this is not done for odd numbers. Your more likely to get it with 2 adults and 4 children.

aydenthelion

can I change the age of one of my kids on the booking form without repercussions? Daughter is under 1 so they don't include her in the booking.

Rob_Quads

That’s good value. Yes there will be queues if you go in holidays best way to avoid them is picking an inset day. We’ve been once in the holidays and yes it was very busy but other visits during inset days and it’s been much better. Always been able to get on every ride over the day although there will be queues Food can be expensive so a picnic is good if you can sort one, a few under cover places you can eat in the holidays QBot is probably worth it but not any other time imo.

Has anyone been out of term times? Thinking of going in a few weeks hoping for it to be quiet. Or is that wishful thinking?

DomManley

This. And what if you can't afford Qbot? You then get less of an experience. I'd rather they put an extra quid on the ticket for all and abolish Qbot. Make it fair for everyone as the Qbot riders simply increase the queue time for all. I remember when Alton towers used to have ticket machines for free that gave you a time slot later in the day, and when it was your time slot you had a 15 minute wait. But it was available for all. Legoland have caused horrible experiences for the masses with the introduction of this.

pc5020

You shouldn't need to invest in the Qbot to have a good time, you should be able to have a good time without it and only purchase a Qbot to have an even better time...This is where the park falls straight on its ass...

Hoptoit83

I agree, we went yesterday and it was shambolic. So many rides and kiosks out of order or closed. I expected queues as it was the easter holidays but 2 and a half hours for a 4 min ride was abit excessive

How do I book this offer. I never booked before this web

JSmooth

I totally agree with when we went on a Saturday we went on 2 rides and left it was horrific. However by contrast we went on a Friday and it was empty my son stayed on several rides after they finished as not enough people in queue to fill the ride. I do think it's disgusting how many people they let in and as there are small children queuing for hours they should be ashamed. But go on a week day during term time and your experience will be allot better.

I went in late July for my daughter's birthday. If you are sensible with the first few rides you go on you can get 3 premium rides done quite quickly. We got on the larger dragon ride 3 times in 20 mins. We stayed in a hotel on this deal one night.

nervous_pilchard

We just came back from a one night 2 day stay and it was not worth it. I purchased Qbots for the 1st day and was not worth the money. The rides are under whelming, the food is substandard, the queues are horrific and the shops are ridiculously expensive. But do you know what. The kids LOVED IT. and it's all about them I guess. I would say never go in holidays, buy cheapest tickets you can and don't dine at the buffet. That would make everyone happy.

jayonline85

Half term at end of October costs more than we paid in the summer holidays. Maybe because of it being around Halloween.

mane1034

really bad experience - may be due to peak season. ..... they sell too many tickets... wasted £250 .... kids were disappointed and wait was average an hour... will not go there. sorry

If it's anything like the rest of the Merlin theme parks the last few days then it will be rammed. Some have been so busy that people have been turned away at the gates as the parks were full to capacity ! And the people who did manage to get inside the parks and payed for FAST TRACK still had to wait up to an hour ! We went to Alton towers screfest last Monday and tuesand it was the busiest that I've personally seen in years, and we go most years in August when it should be at its peak.

saz182

We have been a few times now, stayed twice in the legoland hotel- once on the pirate themed floor and once on the adventurers themed floor. We didn't use the hotel pool as it was fully booked (we didn't know you needed to book) and there wasn't any room to sit for the entertainment (part was closed off for refurb which we weren't aware of when we booked). I wasn't aware that they still opened the hotel when the park is closed, it wouldn't be worth the drive for us but I guess its good for those who live nearby who have had their fill of the park but would like to experience the themed hotel or have other things of interest to do locally..

TheBolt

Went a couple of years ago as a birthday treat. Bricks restaurant is an all you can eat buffet well suited to youngsters, large outdoor playground, indoor fort playground by the bar area which has entertainment, large lego play pits by reception, small shop and a well themed (but very busy) splash pool. The bedrooms are well themed, and the kids beds are seperated from the adultsby the bathroom, which works really well. Going when the park is open is very expensive, and you wouldn't have time to use the hotel features to their fullest.

jacobforsyth

Yeah it's closed then x

Scarter610

Fab deal, we had an awesome time last time we went, but didn't get chance to stay in hotel. Sounds great

Broxy

One of them is in the same county :D

Mentos

To be honest i'd consider just staying at the hotels and forgetting the park. We don't live far (few miles) and despite having a 2 year old and Merlin passes for us and the Grandparents, we've only bothered taking her 4 times between us. Three of the four times the queues were ridiculous, we are talking about an hour to get some food, let alone get on a ride. The one time it was relatively less busy (but still busy) they didn't bother opening half the rides. On a general note, we've been really disappointed with the passes. We've had them in the past, when family visited they worked out reasonable value for sight seeing. Eventually we stopped getting them as everyone had seen the sites they cover enough times, but this year we got them as the little one was coming to the age where she'd start enjoying the parks/london eye/etc. Have to say, comparing to the past, prices have gone up significantly but what you get in return has deteriorated. You need premium for Fast Track, Special days, Summer hols in London, parking ,etc. The parks don't look like they've had a make over in years. And one of the advantages (as we live close to the parks) was you could pop in off peak on a whim to avoid the queues. But recent experience (including the other parks) has been they only operate "properly" when its wall to wall busy :( Don't think we'll be getting the passes again. The parks are closed half the year to begin with, if they are effectively going to run them half closed for much of the rest of the time (other then the odd weekend or school hols) whats the point in an annual pass!
