G2 a suitable upgrade over the b7? The interface is pretty slow these days.

I upgraded to the G2 from a B7 last week (the Richer Sounds offer) and I think it was a worthy jump even on the screen quality but also on the UI. Loved my B7 and was still sad to see it go!

I have also yesterday ordered LG C2 55inch for 979 from costco.

I won't be wall mounting so need the stand.

Can soneone who has experienced both advise is it worth the extra money to go for G2 knowing I will need a TV Stand as well so will cost an extra £200 roughly with stand

I don't mind ordering the G2 but don't want to waste £200 if its not going to benefit (edited)

The main difference between the two is the g2 has a much larger heatsink, so it can be brighter, better for watching with the curtains open I guess

Also being designed to be wall mounted, it will sit against the wall really well compared to the C2

I've personally got the C2 55" mounted on the wall, and couldn't be happier with it, also being in a dark room the extra brightness would've most likely been lost on me (for my circumstances)

Can you stack with the well known American charge card? There’s 10% cash back offer on there

No, I tried on another TV a few days back, it simply removes the option to use Amex at checkout if you’ve used a discount code

I wouldn’t buy Lg again, probably the worst customer service, search LgUkCare on Twitter for examples. I spent £1500 on an Lg TV which developed image retention which apparently isn’t covered in warranty as it’s user error! I was using it wrong by watching it!! Never again.
