How does it compare to the g2?
    Waltz's avatar
I believe the G2 is a touch brighter and only comes with a wall mount, other than that they are about the same. If you wall mount the tv, the C3 should be easier as it has its mount in the ‘normal’ place whereas the G2 has a mount at the top so I had to drill new holes for it and reroute my cables so it’s flush to the wall. Code still doesn't work for me.
I get an email saying it's valid for the correct email address but then when I enter the code it say it's is not available on the product or is not valid.
    hialastair's avatar
it does work, you need to sign up and order with the email address you referred a friend to, not the account you sent the referral from and you'll then be able to apply all 3 coupons at checkout. it just worked for us! 😁

Thank you for the post. I noticed there is another model on the LG website that is slightly more expensive. Does anyone know the difference between this model and the LG OLED77C36LC?
    OG_KDN's avatar

Apparently the C36LC has a stand which can swivel (on a pad hidden beneath the stand), and it’s WiSA compatible up to 2.1 channels.

    cracking deal, ordered, thanks OP!

just a reminder on stacking all 3 coupons... you need to order using the email address you referred a friend to, NOT the email/account you sent the referral from.

can't believe we've snagged this for under £1,700!
    aaron.gonzalez's avatar
How did you get the referral link? I go on refer-a-friend but there's nothing there.

I was hoping for a few deals on 77 inch oled's this bank holiday but this is only one. Currently waiting on collection of returning an hisense a6k 85 inch to Costco. It's too big so think a 77 inch oled is the way to go. Almost got the G2 at £200 less but they have all gone now. Not paying the Sony premium as it's a grand more and not sure about the Samsung s90c but even that is £200 more at Costco. This also as the free extended extra 4yr warranty via redemption.
    kernowden's avatar
Funny that...i'm in the same boat...been waiting on Costco to collect my 75 inch phillips mini led for a few weeks now, before they refund me... so also loooking at this.
  6. s_bart's avatar
I’m not saying this isn’t a good deal but I’ve bought g2 for £200 less on here literally week ago
    Simon_Warner's avatar
Unfortunately not likely to return now as probably all gone. This is cheapest c3 has been too. G2 and c3 about on par too apart from a little bit brighter on the G2.

Finally got the referral code to work by using Edge instead of Brave browser.
    dinoric's avatar
Im using Edge but nothing appears for me when I go to the refer a friend page.

I think (very sadly) this is now out of stock. Took me all day to decide, wasn't sure and seeing 'stock alert' has made me realise I really want it...sad times
    i_need_bargains's avatar
Stock alert means it will back be sooner rather than later and hopefully at the same price. When there is no stock alert (or in stock) showing it's gone forever.

heads up, anyone who has missed out

Richer Sounds will price match the £1689.77 and include 6 years guarantee

put the submit online and include a snip screenshot of the price breakdown in the op

    good luck
    snazy20's avatar
Legend! I can't see how to submit the screenshot though? I've listed the details in the comments though.

Do you think they'll do the LG version of unpacking and placing on a TV stand?

Best deal ever. Bought mine for £2581 7 months ago and it has never reached that rate ever
  13. Chiu's avatar
Thanks for this, have ordered after deliberating for the past few years on replacing my B2 from several years ago. Great price . I got confused about how to refer a friend but found it eventually after googling.
  14. deviant83's avatar
I was after this in the 83". The codes all worked as described, but I was a little worried about the warranty (or lack thereof) with LG and then having to mess about with then having to get it extended by D&G. However, I managed to get Richersounds (who have always been amazing in my experience) to not only price match LG, but beat the price by £20!

Ended up paying £2,772.27 for the TV. At that price, I also added the matched sound bar (LG USC9S) which was price matched with Amazon (£644.99 less £10). Ended up paying £3,407.26 for the lot. Stonking deal! (edited)
    Simon_Warner's avatar
I never thought about richer sounds price match and ordered here now. I can imagine the D&G warranty to be a depreciating one like richer sounds if they can't repair.

Wonder if it's worth doing a price match with richer sounds and cancelling this?
  15. billa.singh's avatar
How is this now hot??? I nought 5 months ago for £2600 and thought that was a steal.
    Michael_I_B's avatar
Are you happy with it in general?
  16. stealth00's avatar
This looks a cracking deal. I've seen the c3 and it's great, but has anyone compared it to the c4. I hear it's meant to be a step up.
    Dusty666's avatar
I've just compared them on Ratings.com. IMO certainly not worth the extra you would have to pay to purchase a C4.
  17. kestrel1960's avatar
Fantastic price. Shame I’m not upgrading until the end of the year.
  18. Percy247's avatar
Can anyone tell me how bad reruns of top gear on Dave looks in standard definition? I suspect it's like a lot of things in life, bigger isn't necessarily better.
    MeneerSmith's avatar
I would say dont sit close to the 77" tv to watch it as you wont like the low bitrate standard definition versions of this at close range.

However, this tv will upscale it very well and will have much better colours, well better everything, than the kind of tv's that were available when it was first shown.

You do sort of get used to the weird visuals and cloudy bits that appear in sd upscaled to 4k pretty quickly though and it is like your brain filters them out.
  19. Michael_I_B's avatar
How long is the warranty? Please
    Happydayz's avatar
"Free delivery and 5-year extended warranty" T&Cs apply.
  20. snazy20's avatar
Soo tempted. Have a 55 c8 oled, which is completely fine. But so tempted by this, would work on my current tv table, but would need to lift it myself I think - is it worth the hassle (price is good so not justifying that), would probs need to sell current 55?
    Simon_Warner's avatar
They also unpack install stand and tune for free if selected at checkout. May be worth it as can see if any faults too.
  21. aaron.gonzalez's avatar
I'm having issues referring a friend. How does one access that?
    hialastair's avatar
    lg.com/uk/…al/

go here, register, and refer a friend

then order using the email which receives the code
  22. markyo007's avatar
Is this the best TV on the market currently? What sets it apart from others, TV experts let me know. Interested to know
    Y_G's avatar
    No.
  23. DonciscO's avatar
    What's the warranty on these?
    Simon_Warner's avatar
It's standard 1yr from LG on the C3, don't think they get the extra 4yr on the panel like the G series but there is a promotion on for an extended 4yr with D&G on this. No idea if it's a decent warranty or not, maybe others can comment who have experience of it. I doubt it will be as good as Costco warranty though.
  24. barbituran's avatar
I have spent £80 more and grabbed evo version of the same model from Costco.

I haven't posted the deal as the guy told me that they are running low on stock for this very model.

Good deal and the 77'' is massive! (probably too big for my room).
    Brad_Shaw's avatar
This is the evo version, every version of the C series is evo (edited)
  25. TerryT's avatar
I can budget higher and as an AV enthusiast, I will appreciate extra features, aesthetics, and definitely brightness. Is this worth getting or are there notably better displays?

I appreciate that these days, it’s hard to get a bad television as soon as you go over £1k. But I’m looking for nuanced opinions on options from AV nerds!
    i_need_bargains's avatar
There are 'better' more premium displays notably the LG G4 and Samsung S95D which will be brighter. For critical movie viewing I would always prefer Sony. Top of the range is last years Sony A95L Master Series OLED. The latest Sony is the Series 8 which would be in the same category as the this years mid range LG C4. However all these are a lot more expensive and IMO not worth the marginal gains over this C3 offer. (edited)
  26. polly69's avatar
Can anyone help I've ordered the C3 oled today and it's showing as merchant xbox design lab in my bank with a reference as LG and I'm worried, that I've been scammed the TV is in my account on the LG website and has a delivery date I choose it's just this odd name. Has anyone else had this the TV was the exact price it should of been off the hukds deal and I've had a message from a courier confirming they will deliver on the date I choose.
    Thanks

Weirdly my payment reference comes up as ‘digital river ireland Ltd’ (edited)
  27. Darthballs's avatar
price has gone up now, looks like you have missed out

same price as the swivel one (which is in @ ~£1800 (edited)
    snazy20's avatar
Ah nightmare - just had the stock alert and you are correct!

Still tempted - but is it a case of patience or bite the extra tonne?
  28. Darthballs's avatar
Can't see it dropping as it's been a popular sell
