Not knocking this deal but i use the 1.99 jobs off amazon/ebay they are fine for holding the phone to film whatever Paired with and old gorilla pod works great (edited)

Even better with Gorillapod knock-offs to boot.

I've got one of those poundland smartphone clamps and this Manfrotto one.

Both work great, but the difference with the Manfrotto clamp is:

-its easier to adjust and set in place
-its got a hot shoe slot on top, meaning you can slot in an LED light, or an external mic
-its got a side thread, so you can buy one of those single gorilla pod legs (about £7, to have a side-adjustable light, mic or whatever.

Having properly set light and or a decent mic really makes a diiference when it comes to catching that perfect shot or great vid, so as simple as this Manfrotto camp might look; it has the capacity to make your footage look... lets say a hundred quid better, easily.

And most importantly you don't want to lose time faffing around with a few different gadgets where this single one can do the work, it gives you more of a chance to set up a good shot before losing the opportunity.

So yeah, I'd buy this again, and I'd also buy the Poundland one, too. They're both good according to their uses, and they both weigh next to nothing, so you can keep them in a backpack. They won't add any extra weight, and you're always ready for that shot! (edited)
