Banking apps, Google Pay, and android auto should all work fine as it's had the global ROM installed. However, as it's the Chinese version it is missing 5G band n28b and 4G band 32. These bands are used by O2 and Three. You can check the difference between the global ROM bands and China ROM bands on kimovil Here (edited)

Is the android auto a hardware or a software limitation?

Does this have all the correct android auto, band 20 support etc, or is it china locked and a case of using global rom on it.
    Bargainz999's avatar
It's in the Sellers description which states "Global Rom: We will open box to install Global Rom Oxygen OS. It support Google Playstore and Multi languages."

So you shouldn't have any issues with android auto, band 20 etc

Amazing price on the 512gb, have already ordered the 256gb at £390ish which has been shipped.

I don't suppose I could cancel that now, if anyone knows?
    vassy4u's avatar
No. Not once it's been shipped.

    Charging time: high

Doesn't seem like that would be a good thing.

I have been trying to buy this phone 16gb 1tb black version since last Thursday. I am getting constantly fobbed off by AliExpress for this item.

I have bought other items without any issues.

OnePlus 8 pro is my favourite phone I've had.
Used the s22u and s23u since then but the OP definitely had something the Samsung's don't.
    Can't explain it.

I cancelled mine yesterday and bought another one with the new 120$ discount. Wasn't expecting to further drop. 39 quid less than what I paid, I could have bought 4 bottles of very good wine

It's unfortunate I had such a bad experience with buying a phone from Ali. It got stolen (phone ripped out of the package) at the airport and by the time the empty box got to me neither side of shipping would take responsibility so lost everything! It's a shame because this is a cracking deal!
    JoShmo's avatar
How do you know the phone ever made it to the airport?

I've chanced it. Haven't ordered from Ali Express for about 5 years but too good of a deal to pass on. Fingers crossed for no customs.

Thank you for an absolute stonking deal. 16gb/512 for £388.87 using my Revolut card. You are costing me a clean fortune 😃

Please could someone clear up whether with it being a global ROM, will NFC, banking apps, esim, Android Auto work out of the box?
    MrSwitch's avatar

Someone commented in previous deal that they do, and also said they had no customs charges, but never rule it out

Tempted. But never bought an expensive item via ali express..So unknown customs/other formalities/headache which may come along.
  33. harry_daviesAMD's avatar
In what way is this different to buying it from a UK seller? Signal bands, google supper, banking apps etc?
    enimatek's avatar
Most of the UK bands will work but not all. That and esim are the only things I can see missing. Banking etc should work fine as long as it's got a locked bootloader.
  34. stylekings's avatar
The same seller cancelled my Vivo X100 Pro order......
    vassy4u's avatar
    Ouch
  35. Aro_Outtandy's avatar
Does anyone know how much the import charges could be? Bonkers deal though
    Sam_java's avatar
    80-100 quid
  36. hh99's avatar
Just to confirm if I order this it will work fine here except for the few missing bands and no need to mess around with bootloader or flashing something which I don't understand. Also if I do get hit by customs how much would it be?
  37. poops101's avatar
