If don't use the code within short time , code has already been stolen by Microsoft Employees or hackers and being used somewhere else. Always keep proof of purchase. Otherwise it is a scam . And it comes as code already used . (edited)

Never heard this before. Maybe a dodgy eBay seller but, not from the likes of Argos or Amazon. Don't think it's possible.

Bought it last year and Microsoft then refused to add 3 months on the basis that I was supposed to buy something on top (like mouse, laptop, etc.).

Plus no stock around and home delivery is £3.95.

Even with £5 off email code it is effectively same price as £49.99 Amazon 15-months licence and they just send a code via email. (edited)

Worked for me today. £39.99 and sent them a copy of the argos receipt and the claim for 3 months was agreed about 30mins later. In the options I chose 'any Microsoft product' as the item purchased. I added the 12 month first and the email for the top up had a link to update my account direct with the 3 months.

Do this still comes with the 1tb OneDrive benefit? That's about the only thing that keeps me in this subscription.

I've bought a 5 licenses Office 2022 as well so I don't need to keep on paying subscriptions for my other machines.

Yes. And as it’s family you get 6x 1TB (counted separately)

My family 365 subscription is due to renew on 1st December. Can I get order this now and use it instead of the auto-renewal for £79.99 in a couple of weeks?
    Chigz_'s avatar
You can order and apply it straight away.

365 subscriptions are capped at 3 years. One can buy 2, 15 (12+3) month subscriptions and apply them for 30 months in a row if they wished.

where do you enter the £5 off code I've not seen anywhere to enter the code from product page, cart or checkout page

After you choose collection or delivery, you need to click the drop down

Dont download this anti virus, it will make your laptops SO SO SLOW, deleted it within 2 days and sighed with relief.

It probably depends on the hardware you are running it on, but the handy thing with this "physical" pack is that the McAfee is easily sold on eBay for £10!

Brilliant! I've been waiting patiently for this to come around - plenty of stock available near me, thankfully - thank you!

Never stock of anything near me. It’s tempting to downvote every Argos deal because they are such a shambles of a company now. (Haven’t though as not fair on OP)

No mention of being able to extend it for 3 extra months on the website

Thanks, I had a nectar £5 off voucher that needed to be used by tomorrow so happy with this at £39.99. Thanks OP.
  10. cgffzf7gsx's avatar
Thanks I pay £40 every year like this
  11. mum22girls's avatar
Hi. How do you get the 3 month extension? It doesn’t mention anything regarding this. Is it offered when you register product? Thanks
    FuriousD's avatar
there is a link in the 'about this deal' at the top. However I have found it confusing, I can do a pic of my receipt but it asks for 'Image must show purchase of a M365 subscription, qualifying device, and purchase date'.
    What is the qualifying device?
  12. Gadget-Monkey's avatar
Bought. Thanks op. Beats the deal I posted with Amazon.

I just want to confirm I got one this year and successfully applied for and received the + 3 months

My claim was submitted today and approved with 30 minutes. I just added to complete the process.

I used this method and a screenshot my Argos order from the website, when you click on the order details and see the price, date and products.

Great deal, bought yesterday, activated online yesterday. Posted my receipt off to Microsoft and had my 3 months extension approved (code then added online to extend subscription).
    SAdiyat's avatar
Did you use the same purchase as proof for the extra 3 months?
  16. tboy2000's avatar
£5 off email code doesn't work as you have to spend over £50 and office 365 is £44.99
  17. ud987's avatar
How do you extend for extra 3 months?
  18. mikester's avatar
Thanks OP, used 10 minute mail for the £5 off code which worked a treat when logging in to Argos with my existing credentials. Used Nectar points to pay £37.50 (won't let you do £40 as its 1p short of the full amount), so paid the difference on debit card and earnt 44 Nectar points in the process.

Another year and a bit of photo storage sorted with onedrive on our families galaxy devices
  19. JP84's avatar
Is £39.99 the best price it has ever been?
    username23452's avatar
From Argos last year, yes. But it also had a 5 off code and some people could stack 2 to get 10 of 79.98 (for 2)

So the best it has been is £35 with a code. This year is was 39.99 with code (edited)

What about an offer like one person, one account, but for 6 years support or just box pay a single, one-time cost.
  21. craigcoe87's avatar
Can anyone explain why it’s worth paying £40+ a year to subscribe to MS Office? I have MS Office 2019 Professional Plus and can’t get my head round a subscription. Multiple devices, new features/updates yeah but that can’t be it?!

Genuine question, not trying to rile people up!

Just have had the additional 3 months added on to subscription. Also added an extra month for enabling auto-renewal, so in total, 16 months of Microsoft 365 for the price of £40. Thanks OP!!!!
