Can get this for £480 at Lenovo using Perks at Work but no Earbuds claim offer for which the price at various sellers is £599.

£509.99 at Motorola with moto buds+ 'free' and say 15% teachers discount code (or similar schemes)
£599.99 without discount scheme but still get earbuds.

    Shipping is free.

A lot of issues with this phone that apparently haven't been sorted out with the latest software update; keep in mind that Motorola, though they make generally make really good hardware, have a terrible track record with updates. Also, the EU/UK pricing is a bit of a mystery (though you can typically find it from ebay sellers at sub £400, if you're happy to buy that way).

In India and other markets, it competes against a range of upper tier low-budget phones, so to speak, whereas in the EU/UK Motorola have for some reason decided to pitch it more so at the price of midrange phones, which I think will make it a bit of a hard-to sell, over here.

So, for instance, the telephoto lens feature created a bit of a buzz at the price in India but in a group test where they tested it against another phone at a similar price point with a telephoto lens, said phone is only £430 the EU/the UK (though neither phone did well with 4K video, the Motorola dropping frames, causes a stuttering effect especially noticeable in pans).

All I'm saying is, if you watch those reviews from India, etc, and they say - some say - it's a good deal, that's because it's in a different price bracket of phone. Many of the UK reviews so far look like product placement to try and keep their relationship sweet with the manufacturers so they get sent more samples of things to review, rather than them shelling out their own money and giving, shall we say, more 'thorough' reviews.

If Motorola significantly drop the price and fix some of the annoying bugs, I'd still be interested, I'm very much a Motorola fan boy, still use one of their phones, like some of their features, but, as it currently is, even at the ebay sellers prices, I'd recommend people perhaps hold off several months to wait and see.
