Buy a Delonghi Dedica and then you can use whatever ground coffee you want.... Or beans if you buy a grinder as well. They're a fantastic starter machine that are easy to use and the milk frother on it is easy to learn if you watch a Youtube video. You'll get just as good results but for much cheaper coffee, though my favourite was always Brown Bear - Blue Mountain coffee for a daily cheap drink... But they put their prices up. The Nespresso Arpeggio got close to the taste to be fair, but still not as good.

I wouldn't go back to Nespresso after buying that machine though, it taught me a lot and it is a lot cheaper and you can get much better tasting coffee.

Just make sure you put the frothed up milk in first and then the coffee, do not do it the other way around.

You can move onto much better machines after that, but it is the best cheap learner machine that gives good results.

    Heat given

I do love my vertuo machine, especially after the deal posted last year where I’m getting a half price sub to the coffee each month and you get free coffee on top of that every time you order 70 capsules. (edited)

Never worth buying this machine as you’re forced into using their overpriced pods whereas the original Nespresso machine or even the L’or which has a good deal right now allows you to use any third party pods which are muchhhh cheaper

There is a cheap converter for this to use original nespresso pods as well but I’ve found this is the only one that has decent tasting coffee from pods.

The easier way is just to buy a normal coffee machine and get beans, then grind them.

I purchased one of these and struggled to get the pods, now returned it and purchased a krups pixie where pods are available in most places.

They’re all on the Nespresso website. The main difference between this and other makes is that Nespresso haven’t opened the licence for other companies to use their Vertuo pods so it’s only them making the coffee.

It does taste better than any of the other machine types, though.
