About this deal

Good reduction on the G22 in both 128GB (£89) and 256GB version at £107.99, worth the extra for that RAM and storage bump in my opinion, only the red colour with the bigger storage though, Nokia G22 6.52” HD+ Smartphone, Android 12, 4GB/128GB Storage, 50MP AI camera, 3-Day Battery, QuickFix repairability

Good price to use as a 5G home BB modem, with router.

If you get the G22, then go for the 256GB / 6GB version, Android is getting very memory hungry. I only have the G22 64GB / 4GB version, this was fine for Android 12, but not sure about 13/14.
I am going to do full reset on mine and I will report back.

The UK finally got android 13 for these within the last week or 2, HMD are usually pretty quick to roll out the android security patches though esp compared with other cheap phones.

The jury is currently out on the new update to Android 13 with March security update. My phone is now quite laggy when switching between apps, but on Android 12 it was fine.
I am probably going to do a full reset and setup the phone from scratch with no backup being reinstalled this weekend.
I have tried adding the additional virtual ram to the base spec ram (you can have an extra 2 or 4 GB of ram) but this hasn't helped matters.
The G22 was a great little phone, with a reasonable screen, huge battery life and good WiFi stability but Android 13 is playing happy, hopefully the reset will help.

This is giving 2005 vibe. Heat added anyways.

Could anyone recommend a case that provides maximum protection for this?

You get a free clear silicon case included in the box when you buy the phone. Plenty of cheap cases on Ebay, Aliexpress , Amazon for under £10.

I don't think Spigen offer any cases for the G22, then again a Spigen case would be over 25% of the phone cost!
