Found 12th DecFound 12th Dec
Lilys kitchen dog advent calendar reduced to £5.00 from £10.00 at Pets at Home in Darlington. Had about 5 left and placed next to the til.

Our Cockapoo loves Lily's Kitchen food but won't eat the treats.

Any dog getting this now will think their owner doesn't really love them.

YvonnePotterton12 h, 58 m ago

Bought this at £10... dog hates the treats!!

Mine eats them as he's a living rubbish bin, but he's far from crazy for them......

Think best hot deal is probably cheaper to buy a bag of treats in asda £1.29 -the dog doesn't know what an advent calendar is !

After my cactus died, I think an aquarium would be a great idea!

a miniture aquascape might be nice in this with a few tiny fish, like neons

The fish pictured in the tank are too big for this setup. I hope people don't fill this small tank with goldfish as they need a certain amount of litres per cm of growth plus they are a messy fish and need excellent filtration and aeration to keep them happy. I've had my goldfish for over 13 years in a 240 litre tank.

This might be okay for a Beta fish but please do your research and don't quote me.

This size tank is as bad as a "fish bowl". You're just asking to kill your fish unless you buy one or two fish that won't grow more than a few centimetres.

Update:

Read this:

petforums.co.uk/thr…20/

1 Beta fish is fine for this tank.

No goldfish as they require a 150 litre tank and 50litres for each additional goldfish.

Voted hot - it's cheaper than the zoo.

took my daughter, guinea pig and baby rabbit passed and grabbed around by the p.a.h staff terrified, more of a horror show than anything informative. no real information on handling or care. pointless

What about us poor adult`s who haven`t got a clue ?

I took my daughter to one a couple of weeks ago and it was great. She was the only one booked in for that session, she got to hold, play with and feed 3 rabbits, 2 guinea pigs, 2 hamsters and a gerbil. We really enjoyed it , we got 40 mins and my daughter had the chance to hold some of the live feed (meal worms etc) if she wanted to and nobody tried to sell me anything. Heat added ☺

Please be warned ....l took my two daughters along to one of these a while ago. It was so bad it was embarrassing.....
I went up to the desk to say I was there for the kids workshop, so she called a young girl over who literally stood there for 20 minutes talking about birds in the garden and how to care for them. It's was all talk about their products and pushing a sale . It was a bitter disappointed and I was pretty annoyed as my girls had been looking forward to seeing and holding some animals and some activities. Nothing for kids at all , they just stood there bored to tears. I had to take them off somewhere else to make up for it . NEVER again !

I have booked a place for my daughter on Sunday, hopefully after the session she will be a bit more confident when handling our pets. Plus they give tips for keeping your outdoor pets warm in winter. We already have 2 budgies , 2 rabbits and a hamster so won't be able to get any more. Heat added ☺

Fishkeeping hasn’t changed fish haven’t changed, your stupidity astounds me …Fishkeeping hasn’t changed fish haven’t changed, your stupidity astounds me. The website is credible and the article is about Goldfish in general. The fishbowl scenario mentioned just trumps your views that a fish shouldn’t swim freely. A 500litre tank is more the size for a few full size goldfish; clearly you have no idea how big they can get keeping them in a bowl. Anyway I am done here, obviously going over your head. Ignored
