This will improve nightmode and should be available on most Xiaomi/Poco devices.
I am glad you are enjoying your phone. MrSwitch's postings and recommendations are second to none.
Open camera app
Scroll the menu bar at the bottom across to 'More'
Tap the Edit button on the top right hand corner
Select 'Feature layout'
Drag 64MP icon up to 'Start screen'
64Mp option now appears on the menu bar. (edited)
Nice design, very fast SoC (scores almost 1M points in AnTuTu 9), good screen, plenty of RAM and storage. POCO have saved on the camera sensors, but the phone actually takes decent photos.
This a great looking and performing phone, my only gripe is the plastic feel when I take it out of the case.
This is a good price for a UK one as you get a proper UK 67W charger.
No camera mod has even come close to beating the stock camera .
I would make a recommendation, in relation to sound, that you go to setting and play with all the eq settings, make it as good as it can be because like most things the default is pretty meh. There is also a "hidden" setting for Dolby, only on video playback e.g. YouTube etc where you can "pull" out the video toolbox in which there is an option where you can increase the dialogue clarity. If you're using the phone speakers then turn Dolby on, if you're using headphones turn Dolby OFF, there is a massive EQ shift and headphones, to me, sound awful with Dolby on but the phone speakers sound better with it on.
It's a great phone for the money though and any drawbacks you think this might have or preferences you hold, the fact you get this much phone and performance for this price calls into question why others are charging so much more for so little extra return. Genuinely the only thing I miss is wireless charging and that's a personal preference.
No games open either, if you use memory extension it uses 8GB and up, I wouldn't go for the 8GB version of the F5 on AliExpress to save money,
I see now why they give you 12GB, is this just a 7 + gen 2 thing ?,
Also my memory booster app is only showing 10.91GB of RAM available ?,
No wonder my Mi Max 3 was almost unusable with 4GB.
How bad are poco these days with bloatware? Seems to be challenge these days to get clean android phone/tablet
The cost of actually including one is peanuts, so no excuse really.
Not only that the trend of dual SIM or SDcard is another wth?
Or is it new?
IF you have an issue an app clear the cache and data.
If you have an issue with the OS back up, clear your data and factory reset. This has always been best practice when changing Android version ( as would have done earlier in the year) but people nowadays seem to not want to do this or back up their data to off devices storage.
The tensor G2 has dedicated tensor cores for AI computing though. Which gives it an edge for AI applications.
Overall the Snapdragon is superior for normal day to day use and mobile gaming though.
The current Tensor cpu is based off the Samsung Exynos architecture and even Samsung ditched their own Exynos chip and went Snapdragon for the S23 Ultra so that should tell you all you need to know. (edited)
The reason is the awful, awful unlocking sensor. Despite the fact that I lock the phone, 9 times out of 10 it randomly unlocks itself immediately afterwards, even though I'm not touching the sensor. It activates from the heat of my leg in the screen when in my pocket, and when I get home from a walk, I find that I'm either calling 'Owner' whoever that is, or I have 50 or 60 photos or videos taken from inside my pocket.
One time it actually called 999 and I had to apologise. They weren't happy.
