Got mine a few days on the Xiaomi deal.
Coming from a redmi 10t pro this is fab. Great nightime shots. Zero lens flare. Telephoto better than I expected. Good colour balance and a decent dynamic range.
Fast charging is great. Battery life very good.
The pad 6 is wonderful. Great sound and screen clarity.
    Love both items.
Thanks for the previous heads up Switchy

Battery life very good? I take it you're not a heavy user? I have to charge mine again by 1pm

Can anyone confirm if this has a notification light?
    icbtihk's avatar
If it doesn't you can install an app called notifybuddy. With the pro version, only a few quid you can have a notification light in the shape of the Autobot logo or a stormtrooper helmet, what more can you want!

Anyone buying these should have a look at the other thread and the reports of camera lens condensation issue. At least check yours on delivery! (edited)

51140613-dX56i.jpgAre there no offers of the camera kit here in UK? I bought phone in Hong Kong and only realised there were freebies with this when phone arrived a day later.. I got this camera kit, bluetooth grip, and tripod with mine. I did pay 4500HK$ for 512 gb version. Grip also has variable illumination source built in, rechargebale.
    zchari5's avatar
No camera kit but the pro comes with free tab 6

Is this better than 11 ultra? In terms of camera.
    Derek_McKay's avatar
No. The 11 Ultra is still up there and I think out of the Xiaomi's, only the 13 Ultra beats it so far. (From what I read!)
  7. ssimonian's avatar
Is the 1tb version actually available anywhere where a UK warranty would be applicable?

Would the phone be much of an upgrade on a xiaomi 12t pro?
    fishmaster's avatar
Chipset : 13t Pro uses Dimensity 9200 Pro. This uses Cortex A-715 cores which are about 5% faster than the A710 cores of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 in the 12t Pro.

Graphics processing: Again about 5%-6% better.

Overall benchmarks state the Dimensity 9200 doesn't perform as well as Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 according to trustedreviews.com/rev…pro

Storage speed: UFS 4.0 on the 13t as opposed to UFS 3.1 on the 12t Pro. This does make a noticeable speed improvement especially as the phone ages with future updates etc

Screen: 144Hz (13t Pro) to 120Hz (12t Pro) and brightness hugely improved to 2600 nits from 900 nits

Camera system: 200MP on the 12t Pro versus 50MP on the 13t Pro. But photo processing is possibly more refined on the 13t Pro. Additionally the 13t Pro has a better usuable camera array. 50MP Wide, 50MP Telephoto 2x optical, 12MP Ultrawide, versus 200MP Wide, 8MP Ultradwide, no telephoto and instead a fairly useless 2MP Macro camera.

Video: About the same, might have some refinements over the 12t supports 10-bit LOG.

    Battery and charging: No difference

Android OS and Security updates : 12t Pro - Expected expiry March 2026. 13t Pro unknown presumably March 2027.

    SUMMARY:

Now to answer the question is this much of an upgrade over the 12t Pro? If you want a more flexible and usable camera system, including optical zoom and possibly slicker performance then the 13t Pro is just about worth it. The real major differences are the faster storage speed and camera system. If I had the 12t Pro it probably doesn't have a good resale value, so I'd have to decide whether those two main areas are really worth the extra outlay in terms of value for money.

This phone has a camera issue, i wouldn't be buying it right now. Lots of us are returning it for refund, including me.

90% of people who got this phone a few days ago are all having the issue with the camera, do not buy this phone!
    karam94's avatar
    What is the issue ooi?

Sometimes, one has to wonder that, surely the £1000+ phones aren't feasible.
Come on, Xi, release the Ultra here, please, lol. (edited)

I have been wanting to get away from iPhones for years now and I’m thinking how far away spec wise this will be from my iPhone 13? Also for the likes of running excel would there be any issues?
Any info/advice would be really appreciated 🏻
    Saif_Anwar's avatar
This blows the iPhone 13 out of the water faster Refresh rate , larger battery
Faster charging bigger screen better camera zoom new Bluetooth technology fingerprint scanner more slower slow motion recording faster processor newer wifi technology it balster and 2 SIM card slots only good thing about the iPhone 13 compared to this is it has better software support and front camera is better

I would bite the deal only if a toaster was included or at least a bluetooth toothbrush...

I am seriously considering this phone upgrade from my Mi 9T Pro (which has the pop up camera for selfies = no camera bezel). Have Xiaomi stopped making these pop up camera phones as I will seriously miss this feature when i move on from my still functional and working 9T Pro. Mr Switch convinced me years ago to get the Mi 9T Pro.... so maybe its about time to upgrade and get a free Pad 6 as well (not that I need one).

A natural upgrade, but sadly no more pop ups

I want this but don't want the 512 version. Who needs that much storage? Bring the 256 into stock and I think I'd go for it.
    Chris.sss's avatar
buy this and only use half the storage?

tbf resale will worst on the 256gb version if everyone is buying the 512gb from this deal.
  16. Joshfount's avatar
Good bundle deal for the Xiaomi 13T Pro as you're getting the top spec Xiaomi Pad 6 as a freebie ♨️

Guys it's in stock now at Very. Just bought using the new customer offer so 602.99 after 100 quid discount

    Thanks Mr Switch!

Thank you but i just cancelled my order from very that was a bout to be shipped due to the concerns over its camera fault. Pity as it seems a good phone and a good deal but i dont want the hassle of returning it if it develps the fault many seem to be finding.
  18. zchari5's avatar
Just got off the phone from Very (took about 20 mins). They're emailing a returns slip and the refund is conditional on them finding a fault and then the money will be refunded 21 days later.

Good luck with the phone Clay! (PS it's most easily seen if you record a light e.g. a light bulb as it starts of as a normal vide then in my case easily within 7 mins it had bad halos. Outdoors it appeared within ~ 24 seconds shooting at 4k (no probs with 4k indoors when shooting for ~ 7 mins). I posted on another thread some screengrabs of the outdoor video)

I'll do some more testing when I get the chance but having said that not sure why you would need to film in 4 or 8k, My previous mobile was the Honor 20 pro I'm just after a better camera with OIS.

What is the spec of the pad 6 that you get? I can't find it in the terms, but I ideally wanted the one with more storage

someone selling it on a different forum without the pad 6 for £550 , no biters at all.

I'm less and less excited for the P8 Pro launch tomorrow after all the leaks. Any opinions on the camera on this vs P7?

    Is MiUi really unusable?

I've been waiting to buy this from the Xiaomi site but I want it in Meadow Green and it still isn't in stock. The reason I'm using the Xiaomi site is because it is showing a £20 off coupon as well.

Heat, great specs for the money. Does anyone know if they have put usb 3 on it and if video over usb works? I think the ultra has now. If so this could be a gaming and emulation beast.
  26. jasondluk1's avatar
Is the redmi k60 ultra basically this phone without the leccia camera ???
    Neostar's avatar
yes but no band 20 support on the cn model

Very have the 13T available but was wondering if they are likely to stock the 13Tpro while this offer is running. (Looking to upgrade the wifes handset.)
    zchari5's avatar
It's in stock now at Very

For a hundred quid more you can get the iphone 15 which is an extraordinary phone, without looking for any deal on it eg buy it interest free for two years from Apple effectively gives you a 15% discount thanks to inflation.
    graham_smithu5S's avatar
Putting aside my obvious bias that would never allow me to buy into the apple ecosystem ( Emperors new clothes) i would suggest the extra £100 you speak of would get you the far better S23 without leaving Android. Every Apple product carries a brand premium on release that you just don't get on Android even with the Flagship handsets. If you are already invested in apple then your suggestion is great but i don't think it would tempt Android users to make the switch.

I'm so glad I came on here to check for deals before checking out. I guess I'll eek a bit more life out of my Oneplus 7t for now.

Massive thanks for the tips. I'm getting the phone on Tuesday so will post what I find
    graham_smithu5S's avatar
I cancelled my very order but it is already dispatched so i now have to return it. Not sure whether to open it and use it to see if it has the issue with the camera but dont know if that would affect my return to very.

No more coupon available for pad 6
    zchari5's avatar
What do you mean? I think you have to wait for 14 days after you purchase the phone then claim via Xiaomi site putting in your IMEI number then you get the Tab 6. You don't get any coupon till then.. otherwise I'm in trouble as I haven't received one and there is nothing on Verys website about a coupon!
  32. Ananda_maharjan's avatar
Could anyone share link to claim free pad 6 please

  34. zchari5's avatar
Balls. Phone arrived today and it fogs up within 2 mins on shooting 8k indoors or 2mins on 4k outdoors just now. Makes the video function useless above 1080p (not tested at 1080 but assume it's a design fault with heat at hi res causing the condensation) so going to return it too. Just hope things are easy with Very
    DCollector's avatar
I think most of them will do it. It's a flaw. They say it's normal behaviour. It isn't.
  35. clay's avatar
With distance selling on the internet don't you have 14 days in which you can return for any reason ? (edited)
  36. zchari5's avatar
I think they got rid of DSR when we left the EU. Nowadays we have to make do with the stress of waiting for them to check, some places even charge for returns postage!

8k is not v useful for me but 4k would be good as I have a 4k TV. My current phone works fairly well and still has a decent camera (similar to pixel 6) so wanted a substantial improvement to warrant this new purchase. The rest of the phone seemed good at least inc screen, speakers and non zoomed in photos with the main camera
