I would definitely agree with this comment, I own lots of procook pots and pan. I would NOT recommend buying sandwiched bottom pans as they are useless. Over the years spent/wasted so much money for cheap pans. May be buy one at a time but buy a quality one. Cheap or expensive, nonstick doesn't last even with hand wash or silicon/wooden utensils. Over the years I have contributed to big landfill by throwing lots of nonstick pans. Try ply all the way...

heaney676

They're all heavy base pans, for the money you will find it hard to get a 10 piece set of this quality. I've been in the industry long enough to know a good pot and pan when I see one. The non stick pans are double layered too, I have single layer non stick pans still going after 4+ years without as much as a mark on them all at the cost of £10 from to maxx. It's all down to how you treat them. Plus, if all else fails their return policy is amazing and the reviews speak for themselves.

KL88

I’ve got some of their stainless steel pans and they are decent. Would buy again / more.

KyleCroxall

Wouldn’t recommend, it looks to me that they only have tri-ply bases as opposed to being fully clad all throughout - so uneven cooking around the sides of the pans. Also all of the non-stick pans in the set will only last for so long before needing to be replaced, it’s only worth buying cheap non-sticks so you can replace them when necessary. If you’re looking to spend this much on a set look for fully clad tri-ply stainless steel and potentially metal handles.

Ah so it is! To be honest the Twin range is the budget range for them but they are still decent. Honestly at Bicester you can get a set for about £120 of a better knives. I paid something like £105 for a full set of X50 Ice hardened. They are half baked Chinese steel. Better then supermarket stuff but not great

I bought the x50 Ice hardened and regret it. Average knives at best. I got my sister some zwellings from Bicester outlet for £10 more and they are miles apart. I’ve sharpened mine and wet stoned them and her Zwellings wipe the floor with x50’s. Best bet is to go to TKmax and pic up a random cleaver they have there from one of the known quality brands, seen a few Shun’s there before

Not a good deal when you consider the cost (both economic and environmental) of production and similarly the cost of disposal. Cheap to buy usually means there is a bigger cost to be paid somewhere along the line

jokinjp

Mmm HotUKDeals always criticising a saving. Well £35.95 for 4 knifes even if they only last a year seems a good deal to me. Light in hand sharp and better than the Jamie Oliver coloured set I was bought.

DanDanPanman

Blade is carbon steel, so is great to hold a sharp edge, but do take care of it if you want it to last - no leaving it in the sink or the dishwasher. Block works really well for any carbon steel knife (as opposed to cheap stainless steel ones). When I purchased I read all the reviews - mostly really positive as am I with the purchase - A bargin at this price

jimmyt11

I paid £10 for these from the outlet without the stand and they are rubbish... wouldn't recommend

Whilst a pizza stone is ok (better than an oven rack on it's own, it does rely on thermodynamics different materials heating faster / slower than others. Where these fail somewhat is the fact that they often require more temp time than a modern oven takes to heat up in order to see the effect of crisping the bottom out, often utterly useless if you are in a rush so simply pop in a pizza from frozen & oven from cold, & expect it to perform. As an alternative, (& plugging dunelm again here ;) ...a not bad, light & cheap alternative (especially for the cold oven cold pizza shovers in) is a string fibre type crosshatch material shoved under the pizza, they sell em for helping out oven chips crisp up too, ..not brilliant but not bad either, ..worth mentioning.

woldranger

Except is not half price, it's half price plus a substantial delivery charge. The total cost including delivery should be in the title, not having the silent charge tucked away at the very end of the description

UriStamonov

Did you order one? Seems reasonably priced to me. Making scratch pizzas is so easy and fun...promise me you won't be using it just to reheat Chicago town stuff? :) If you make bread you will notice the difference in the crust and spring of the bread / pizza when using a well-warmed stone or similar device. Very different to a baking tray. Uri
