Great price on a USA made PRS!

Product Description
Vintage style meets modern and precise PRS craftsmanship. The S2 McCarty 594 edges closer towards a retro look than what you might already be familiar with from PRS, but this gorgeous American-made electric guitar still incorporates their incredible building techniques and versatile push/pull coil-split electronics for access to full humbucking and nuanced, sweet single-coil sounds.

The warm, inspiring tone of the S2 McCarty 594 Singlecut is further supported by its construction specifications and design. Featuring a bound 22-fret "Pattern Vintage" neck and slightly thicker back for more sustain, the S2 McCarty 594 feels and sounds like a guitar you've been playing forever. It plays in tune, stays in tune, and is intonated the entire length of the neck. A zinc two-piece bridge and vintage-style tuners anchor this guitar and stay true to the promise of the McCarty family.

Limited Edition S2 McCarty 594If you love PRS guitars with a unique spin, then you'll really enjoy this limited edition S2 McCarty 594! Upgraded with a sleek Ebony fingerboard (instead of Rosewood), this stunning instrument also sports a "custom colour" finish reminiscent of some of the exclusive colour options that PRS apply on their exquisite Wood Library models.

Key Features
  • Mahogany Body/Neck with Flamed Maple Top — Provides the foundation for the traditional sound, feel and look of the McCarty. Rich, smooth and stunning!
  • 24.594" Scale Length — Increasing string tension ever so slightly over the 24.5" scale for improved note clarity, the McCarty 594 still provides old-school '50s single-cut playability.
  • "Pattern Vintage" Neck Profile — As wide as PRS' regular "Pattern" neck, but slightly thicker with an asymmetrical carve. This means that up at the treble side you'll have less material in the way, while on the bass end, you're offered a chunkier and more supportive feel.
  • 58/15 LT "S" Humbuckers — A personal innovation of Paul Reed Smith in the pursuit of great tone! These are classic low-output pickups; delivering exceptional clarity and a focused mid-range. The bridge position 'bucker has a boosted treble, while the neck pickup has a wider and more balanced frequency response.
  • Coil-Split Tone Knobs — Use the push/pull tone knobs to access those glorious vintage single-coil sounds. Amazing versatility from just one guitar!

I was reading an article about guitars and that a lot of the "baby boomer" generation bought electric guitars. Seeing that the "baby boomer" generation is starting to die out, there are going to be a heck of a lot of guitars coming onto the market and hence prices will plummet.

So basically never buy a guitar as an investment, as the value will drop and probably never recover.

Well that argument has been used for expensive Gibson Les pauls ...which you can sorta see...a lot of younger players bands are just not into them ...mainly down to the price I'd say .....in the years to come I can't see many wanting to drop a 150 grand on a original 58 !

Personally every guitar I've ever bought has gone up in price ...had a couple double their money

Buy wisely ...Other than houses Guitars are the only thing I've ever owned that have gone up in value ! (edited)

No idea about buying it as an investment but it feels great to play which is the most important thing!

That is cheap for a new CE24 although I can see why. Beautiful tops are a key feature of PRS guitars so this finish won't be for everyone. I bet it hasn't shifted and Andertons want rid.

Great price for a USA-made guitar, it's almost touching on SE prices!

Purple fades quickly and this is already very pale purple, just worth considering.

Should add that it's also available in electric blue at the same price.

Beautiful guitar, but the toggle switch being on the arm on these really irritates me. Just looks out of place
